“Carol I” National Defence University cordially invites you to participate in the 20th edition of the international scientific conference STRATEGIES XXI – Technologies, Military Applications, Simulation and Resources, to be held in Bucharest on the 28th of March, 2024. The conference will bring together researchers, decision makers and representatives of the defence industry to disseminate their expertise and gain new insights into the transformations of today’s operational environment.

Recent military conflicts with their pronounced societal and multi-domain character and the new and disruptive technologies ahead of us suggest major paradigm changes in conducting military operations. Subsequent to these trends, the following topics of maximum relevance will be discussed: planning and leading military actions / operations, force protection, multi-domain operations, advanced technologies in the current battle space, cyber security and the role of artificial intelligence in the decision-making process.

The Conference will run for one full day and it will be held hybrid, in-person and online, in support of the Advanced Distributed Learning Department, in participation of the Command and Staff Faculty, The Interdisciplinary Doctoral School and the Scientific research center in the field of military art and the critical infrastructure protection. Virtual connectivity will be available on ILIAS platform.

Interested authors are invited to submit their full papers for consideration no later than February 26th, 2024, by email at [email protected]. The conference papers will be peer-reviewed by an International Scientific Committee and the Conference Proceedings will be indexed in ProQuest, CEEOL and EBSCO databases.
