Annex A

NAMSOC – course information

General information
Upon first arrival report to the guard: an entrance pass will be provided after showing the ID as used for registration in Annex B.

Report at building 29 - KEK complex (DEFAC), Korporaal van Oudheusden barracks – Hilversum.

Fees
There are NO course fees in place.

Course schedule:
Calendar week 26 (24 June – 28 June) daily schedule is from 08.00 – 17.00hrs
Saturday 29 June an adapted program will be organised
Calendar week 27 (01 July – 04 July) daily schedule is from 08.00 – 17.00hrs
Friday 5 July daily schedule is from 08.00 – 12.00hrs

Program details:
Monday 24 June: during the evening a hosted Ice-breaker will be held.
Wednesday 03 July: a hosted dinner will be organised based on voluntary participation.

Uniform:
All participants: Battle dress uniform (BDU)

Accommodations civil hotels and transport
All participants are responsible for their own hotel reservations.

NLD NAMSOC Course
A military bus will provide transport from the recommended hotels to the barracks on a daily basis.

All hotels are in relative walking distance from railway station Hilversum Centraal. If you travel by plane to Schiphol airport there is a direct connection to Hilversum Centraal.

Military accommodation
NLD NAMSOC Course
There is a limited availability for military accommodation. On request a non-availability form can be provided during the course.
For questions or reservations please fill in the checkbox in the annex B registration form. The keys for military accommodation will be available at the guard on first arrival.

There are no meals available in the barracks on Sunday, please take care of your own dinner. For having a meal in a civilian restaurant, there are several options near the barracks. The closest restaurant (500m) is at the Hilversum airport (Vliegveld Hilversum). Leaving the barracks turn left and you cannot miss it. Across the street there is also a snack bar. Another good restaurant is the Café Moeke in the village Hollandsche Rading. Leaving the barracks turn right, followed by a right turn at the roundabout. You will find the restaurant on your left. Approximately 2.2 km from the barracks.

At the DFAC (Dutch: KEK-complex) you can only pay with EC-card, no cash.
Coffee and tea during the course are provided and free of charge.
In the barracks there is a gym available which can be used in the evenings, the surrounding area of the barracks is also very suitable for running.

PDF-formats with preparatory reading and course preparation task will be provided prior to the course via e-mail to the registered and selected students.
