Dear colleagues, 

We are pleased to announce that ECDC has recently updated the webpages on travel-associated cases of malaria, dengue, chikungunya, and Zika virus disease for the years 2019-2023.

These pages present the locations where travel-associated cases reported to ECDC were likely infected, providing valuable information for public health authorities and EU/EEA citizens regarding travel-related risks.

The latest update now also includes infection rates among travellers for 2023.

Please find the links to the pages below:

Malaria: Travel-associated malaria cases: place of infection for cases imported to the European Union/European Economic Area (europa.eu) 

Chikungunya: Travel-associated chikungunya cases: place of infection for cases imported into the EU/EEA (europa.eu) 

Zika virus disease: Travel-associated Zika virus disease cases: place of infection of cases imported to the EU/EEA (europa.eu) 

These webpages will be updated annually. We plan to incorporate the 2024 data by the end of this year.
