Camilla Waltersson Grönvall, Minister for Social Services of Sweden
We are honored to invite you to the MINISTERIAL SOCIAL POLICY SUMMIT, which will take place May 22–23, 2025, in Lviv, Ukraine.
This year, Lviv has been chosen to host the Ministerial Social Policy Summit for its rich heritage, modern infrastructure, and strategic location. Its intellectual exchange and international cooperation tradition ensures a secure and accessible setting for advancing social policy and sustainable partnerships.
Under the theme "Building Capacity to Address Demographic Challenges," the Summit will convene high-level government representatives, international organizations, and leading experts to explore and develop innovative approaches to pressing demographic trends shaping the future of our societies. Now, more than ever, is it crucial to reinforce the commitment by the EU Member States to support Ukraine and Moldova in the EU Accession process.
Following the success of the first Ministerial Social Policy Summit in Kyiv, which brought together social policy ministers from 14 countries — including Ukraine, Moldova, Sweden, Lithuania, Czechia, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Estonia, Spain, Romania, Croatia, Germany, Norway, and France — this year’s event will further deepen international collaboration. The inaugural summit launched a high-level dialogue on social reforms in Ukraine and Moldova, aligning with European standards.
The Second Ministerial Social Policy Summit will continue this momentum, providing a platform for meaningful discussions and strategic partnerships among ministers, international experts, and civil society representatives. We would honor your participation and invite you to confirm your attendance. Please submit your response no later than April 4, 2025. A detailed program and logistical information will be provided in due course.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lviv in May.
