HealthAI engages partners across four areas of work:
Employing governance and regulation to build trust, advance equity, and deliver on the potential of artificial intelligence in health.
Supporting countries—and the global community as a whole—as they implement ethical and technical standards for AI technologies will be paramount for the future of health.
As a neutral nonprofit partner, HealthAI works with countries to expand their capacity to regulate AI in health systems by establishing and supporting in-country regulatory mechanisms. Similar to the process for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, these regulatory mechanisms review, validate, and certify AI technologies against standards of safety, ethics, and efficacy. By implementing global standards and forging connections between countries, HealthAI strengthens the global ecosystem that puts safe, effective AI tools in the hands of health workers and patients around the world.
HealthAI envisions a world where AI produces equitable and inclusive improvements in health and well-being for all individuals and communities.
HealthAI advances the development and adoption of Responsible AI solutions in health through the collaborative implementation of regulatory mechanisms and global standards.
