Dear Madam/Sir,
The European Commission has appointed Tipik Communication Agency and Spark Legal
and Policy Consulting (collectively "the contractor") to conduct a study to support the
development of a taxonomy for structured and machine-readable company data. This study
should provide the necessary background information and analysis to support the
Commission’s preparatory work for implementing acts required by Directive (EU)
2025/25 as regards further expanding and upgrading the use of digital tools and processes
in company law.
Within the context of this study, the contractor is conducting interviews and surveys with
relevant stakeholders, such as national business registers, national authorities in charge of
digital developments, legal advisors, academic experts and others as appropriate.
The European Commission would be grateful to you and your organisation for providing
assistance to the contractor in the research they are carrying out within the scope of the
study.
Please note that all personal data will be treated under Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 on the
protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union
institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data (repealing
Regulation (EC) No 45/2001).
