Nomination Request: Focal Point for WHO's SCORE Global Assessment

Dear Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that WHO Headquarters has initiated the second round of the global

SCORE (Survey, Count, Optimize, Review, Enable) assessment. This initiative aims to support the

enhancement of health information systems across Member States worldwide. The overall goal of the

SCORE assessment is to assist countries in addressing data gaps to monitor progress towards health-

related SDG targets, such as measuring progress in national capacity of health data systems and

guiding investments on priorities for strengthening these.

Given the broad scope covered by this SCORE assessment, it is critical to effectively coordinate and

engage the relevant health data stakeholders at the country level to complete the data assessment

process. We kindly request your support in nominating a primary focal point by 28 April 2025

and to assist with the implementation of the SCORE survey in your country by 15 May, if

possible. This will help us meet the report development deadline.

The SCORE assessment process is conducted through an online instrument, which includes data

collection and validation using interactive online survey tools to ensure accurate and comprehensive

data gathering with the support from WHO HQ, Regional and where appropriate, Country Offices.
