Subject: High-level meeting in anticipation of IMERA on 27 May 2025
Change of date and request for contacts for official invitation
Dear Ambassador,
On 21 March 2025 you received an invitation to an informal meeting of the IMERA Board
then scheduled for 22 April 2025. Please note that this invitation supersedes the one from
21 March 2025.
First, due to unforeseen circumstances, the informal IMERA Board meeting has been
rescheduled to Tuesday 27 May, from 15:30 to 18:30 at the Charlemagne building on
Rue de la Loi 170 in Brussels. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that this
change risks causing.
Second, although the IMERA Board can only formally be convened after IMERA enters
into application on 29 May 2026, I see great value in beginning to foster a collective
mindset towards further strengthening the resilience of the Single Market and to reflect on
short-term mitigation measures in case of future crises.
This meeting will serve as a forum for discussion similar to the ones that will take place in
the future IMERA Board. However, it will not prejudge your Member State’s future
nomination of a formal representative to the IMERA Board.
With this in mind, I invite a senior representative from your administration, ideally at State
Secretary level, to take part in this high-level meeting in anticipation of IMERA. Your
senior representative may be accompanied by the relevant official responsible for IMERA
implementation.
To this end, I kindly ask you to provide the names and contact details of the persons to
whom the official invitation should be addressed, by 25 April 2025 to my colleagues
via [email protected]. This is also the e-mail address to which you can direct
any questions relating to IMERA.
I appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
Kerstin Jorna
