Ülle Madise
Chancellor of Justice of Estonia
25 April 2025
Congratulations on re-accreditation as an A-status NHRI
Dear Ülle,
I am delighted to congratulate you and the entire team at the Chancellor of Justice of Estonia
for the re-accreditation as an A-status National Human Rights Institution at the latest session
in March 2025.
We would like to express our appreciation for the dedication and commitment of your team
which has been instrumental in achieving this result. The reaccreditation is a testament to the
institution's work over the last few years, and we are confident it will further strengthen human
rights promotion and protection in Estonia. We also appreciate your NHRI’s continued active
participation and contributions to ENNHRI's work and activities.
I would like to re-affirm ENNHRI’s support with the implementation of the SCA
recommendations, including providing further clarification on the recommendations
themselves, in light of the Paris Principles and the SCA General Observations. I am aware that
colleagues at your institution are already in contact with Klara Paro ([email protected]),
ENNHRI’s Human Rights Officer coordinating the work on accreditation, who can provide
further information on possible ENNHRI support in follow up to your accreditation.
Beyond, we are looking forward to continuing our fruitful collaboration and to supporting the
Chancellor of Justice of Estonia in its crucial mandate.
Yours sincerely,
Debbie Kohner
