Dear Friends,
We are delighted to invite you to the closing concert of the Ukrainian Art Days in Tallinn, which will take place on Thursday, 15 May 2025, at 18:00, at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Tatari 13, Tallinn), as part of the Odessa Classics Festival.
This special event is presented by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia, in close cooperation with the City of Tallinn, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Odessa Classics Festival team, and the Maarjamaa Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concert programme features a selection of evocative and powerful compositions:
1. Johann Sebastian Bach – Piano Concerto in D minor
Soloist: Aleksey Botvinov
2. Zoltan Almashi – Maria’s City
Dedicated to the people of Mariupol – Estonian premiere
3. Valentyn Silvestrov – Two Serenades from "Silent Music"
4. Borys Lyatoshynsky – Melody for Violin and Orchestra
5. Heino Eller – Kodumaine viis (Homeland Tune)
6. Myroslav Skoryk – Melody
Performers:
• Yevgeniy Kostrytskyy (violin, Ukraine) – Concertmaster
• Aleksey Botvinov (piano, Ukraine) – Soloist
• Lilyan Kaiv (Estonia) – Conductor
• Maarjamaa Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring musicians from Estonia, Latvia, and Ukraine
