1 am pleased to inform you that the “Workshop on Al iii Srnart Healthcare (I)” organized by Taiwan’s International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF), is scheduled to be held from June 4 to 13 of this year, and is now open for applications.
Due to the giobal trend of aging populations and increasing healthcare dernands, countries
are responding to the World Health Organization (WHO) by accelerating the development
of digital health technologies to address issues related to the shortage of medical resources and healthcare personnel. Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is playing an increasingly critical role in effective and safe delivery ofhealthcare solutions across demographics.
This workshop wiIl leverage Taiwan’s techriological industry advantages to share with partner countries in establishing the concept of irnplementing healthcare information
systems. Furtherrnore, it will integrate technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics to provide comprehensive and innovative healthcare solutions for our allies and friendly nations. We hope to collaboratively execute a “Health Co-Creation Modelt based on the needs ofpartner countries in the future.
ICDS will be responsible for providing attendees with a round-trip econorny class air ticket, cover course fees, meals and accornrnodation. The eligibility for participants to register includes rnid- to senior-level officials responsible for promoting policies related to smart

Overview Many countries are accelerating the development of digital health technologies in response to giobal trends of aging populations and increasing healthcare demands, as advocated by the World Health Organization (WHO). This workshop wiII help partner countries understand the impiementation of healthcare information systems, showcasing technology applications such as wearable health monitoring devices for chronic patients, AI-assisted medical diagnostics in pathology, and robot-assisted surgery for high-precision procedures. Participants wiII gain valuable insights into how these innovations enhance healthcare efficiency and quality, providing practical references for impiementation in their home countries.
Objectives O Understand the core concepts and applications of smart healthcare,
leveraging digital technologies such as Al and big data analytics to support accurate diagnoses and prognoses, thereby improving healthcare efficiency and quality.
O Advocate for early diagnosis and health promotion to strengthen public awareness of preventive care and health risk management, achieving the goal of etfective disease prevention.

Explore how healthcare instftutions digitize administrative workflows to reduce manual tasks; learn how radiology and pathology departments
utilize Al to analyze large volumes of image data to minimize diagnostic
errors; discover the use of smart drug storage systems to enhance
medication safety management.
O Telehealth Solutions: Introduce digital applications that improve
accessibility to healthcare, including online consultations, personal health
monitoring, and remote care services.
O Field Visit to “Medical Taiwan 2025 — Taiwan International Medical and Healthcare Exhibition”: Observe Taiwan’s innovative achievements in the healthcare industry and foster exchanges between international
experts and medical device manufacturers.
