Thank you for your inquiry and for providing the KMZ file outlining your planned survey activities.

We would like to inform you that survey flights, such as the one you described, fall under the scope of commercial specialised operations in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 965/2012.

As such, any operator intending to perform such flights must comply with the relevant requirements of Part-SPO.

We kindly ask you to confirm:

1. 1. Whether the operator conducting the flights is an organisation that has submitted a declaration under Part-SPO;

2. 2. The aircraft type and registration;

3. 3. Whether the operation involves any risk to third parties (e.g. low-level flight in populated areas, use of sensors, etc.).

This information will allow us to assess whether the operation can be authorised in accordance with applicable EU regulations. Please note that the competent authority cannot approve or authorise undeclared commercial specialised operations.
