World Patient Safety Day, 17 September 2025

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) presents his compliments to Member States and has the honour to inform them that WHO is working with international and national stakeholders to plan for World Patient Safety Day 2025, which will be observed and celebrated across the world on 17 September.

World Patient Safety Day was established in May 2019 by the World Health Assembly through the adoption of resolution WHA72.6 on “Global action on patient safety”. The aims of World Patient Safety Day, to be marked annually on 17 September, are to increase public awareness and engagement, enhance global solidarity, and mobilize action by Member States to promote patient safety in line with national objectives and milestones.

In recognition of the vulnerability of newborns and children to patient safety risks, the theme selected for World Patient Safety Day 2025 is “Safe care for every newborn and every child”.

Strengthening safety in paediatric and newborn care is essential to achieving universal health coverage and meeting the Sustainable Development Goal 3.2 target of ending preventable deaths of newborns and children under the age of five. The Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021–2030 recognizes paediatric and newborn safety across multiple strategic objectives, including designing safe clinical processes, strengthening health workforce competencies, engaging patients and families, and establishing learning systems to prevent harm. Through the slogan “Patient safety from the start!”, WHO calls for concerted efforts across key paediatric and newborn patient safety areas such as safe childbirth and postnatal care, medication safety, diagnostic safety, immunization safety, infection prevention and early recognition of clinical deterioration.

世界卫生组织（世卫组织）总干事向各会员国致意，并荣幸地告知，世卫组织正与

各国际和国家利益攸关方合作筹划于 9 月 17 日在世界各地举办 2025 年世界患者安全日活

动。

世界卫生大会于 2019 年 5 月通过关于“全球患者安全行动 ” 的 WHA72.6 号决议并

由此确定设立世界患者安全日。每年 9 月 17 日纪念的这一世界患者安全日，旨在提高公

众意识和参与，增强全球团结，并动员会员国采取行动，按照国家目标和里程碑增进患

者安全。

鉴于新生儿和儿童易受患者安全风险的影响，2025 年世界患者安全日的主题定为

“安全护理每个新生儿和儿童”。

加强儿科和新生儿护理安全对于实现全民健康覆盖和可持续发展目标具体目标 3.2 消

除新生儿和五岁以下儿童可预防死亡至关重要。《2021-2030 年全球患者安全行动计划》

的多个战略目标均承认儿科和新生儿安全的重要性，包括设计安全的临床流程、加强卫

生工作人员的能力、让患者和家人参与以及建立学习系统以防止伤害。今年世界患者安

全日的口号是“从一开始就注重患者安全！”据此，世卫组织呼吁在安全分娩和产后护

理、用药安全、诊断安全、免疫安全、预防感染和及早识别临床恶化等儿科和新生儿患

者安全关键领域作出一致努力。

世卫组织总部、世卫组织各区域办事处以及世卫组织各国家办事处愿与会员国一

Journée mondiale de la sécurité des patients et patientes, 17 septembre 2025

Le Directeur général de l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) présente ses compliments aux États Membres et a l’honneur de les informer que l’OMS collabore actuellement avec des acteurs internationaux et nationaux en vue de préparer la Journée mondiale de la sécurité des patients et patientes 2025, qui sera célébrée partout dans le monde le 17 septembre.

La Journée mondiale de la sécurité des patients et patientes a été instaurée en mai 2019 par l’Assemblée mondiale de la Santé, après l’adoption de la résolution WHA72.6 intitulée « Action mondiale pour la sécurité des patients ». Cette journée est célébrée chaque année, le 17 septembre, afin de sensibiliser et de mobiliser le grand public, de renforcer la solidarité internationale et d’inciter les États Membres à prendre des mesures pour promouvoir la sécurité des patients et patientes conformément aux objectifs et aux étapes fixés à l’échelle nationale.

Mettant en lumière la vulnérabilité des nouveau-nés et des enfants face aux risques en matière de sécurité, le thème choisi pour la Journée 2025 est « Des soins sûrs pour chaque nouveau-né et chaque enfant ».

En effet, il est essentiel de renforcer la sécurité dans le cadre des soins néonatals et pédiatriques pour parvenir à la couverture sanitaire universelle et atteindre la cible 3.2 des objectifs de développement durable consistant à éliminer les décès évitables de nouveau-nés et d’enfants de moins de cinq ans. Le Plan d’action mondial pour la sécurité des patients 2021-2030 promeut la sécurité des nouveau-nés et des enfants via plusieurs objectifs stratégiques, notamment la conception de processus cliniques sûrs, le renforcement des compétences des personnels de santé, la mobilisation des patients et des familles, et la mise en place de systèmes d’apprentissage pour prévenir les préjudices. Par le slogan « La sécurité des patients et patientes commence dès la naissance ! », l’OMS appelle à déployer des efforts concertés dans les principaux domaines de la sécurité des nouveau-nés et des enfants, tels que l’accouchement et les soins postnatals sans risque, l’innocuité des médicaments, la sécurité du diagnostic, la sécurité de la vaccination, la prévention des infections et la détection précoce de la détérioration de l’état clinique.

Le Siège, les bureaux régionaux et les bureaux de pays de l’OMS se réjouissent de collaborer avec les États Membres pour faire de cette Journée mondiale de la sécurité des patients et patientes 2025 une réussite. Всемирный день безопасности пациентов, 17 сентября 2025 г.

Генеральный директор Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ) свидетельствует свое уважение государствам-членам и имеет честь проинформировать их о том, что ВОЗ совместно с международными и национальными заинтересованными сторонами ведет работу по планированию проведения Всемирного дня безопасности пациентов 2025 г., который будет отмечаться во всем мире 17 сентября.

Всемирный день безопасности пациентов был учрежден принятой в мае 2019 г. резолюцией Всемирной ассамблеи здравоохранения WHA72.6 «Глобальные действия по обеспечению безопасности пациентов». Этот день отмечается ежегодно 17 сентября в целях повышения осведомленности и вовлеченности общественности, укрепления глобальной солидарности и мобилизации действий государств-членов в интересах безопасности пациентов в соответствии с национальными задачами и целевыми показателями.

В знак признания того, что новорожденные и дети подвергаются повышенному риску ущерба в случае небезопасного оказания медицинской помощи, в 2025 г. кампания проводится в рамках темы «Безопасная помощь каждому новорожденному и каждому ребенку».

Повышение безопасности педиатрической и неонатальной помощи является залогом достижения всеобщего охвата населения услугами здравоохранения и выполнения задачи 3.2 Целей в области устойчивого развития, которая заключается в ликвидации предотвратимой смертности среди новорожденных и детей в возрасте до пяти лет. В Глобальном плане действий по обеспечению безопасности пациентов на 2021–2030 гг. вопросы безопасности педиатрической и неонатальной помощи отражены в ряде стратегических целей, включая разработку безопасных клинических процессов, укрепление компетенций кадров здравоохранения, вовлечение пациентов и их семей, а также создание самообучающихся систем для предотвращения причинения вреда пациентам. Под лозунгом «Безопасность пациентов — с самого начала!» ВОЗ призывает к скоординированным действиям по обеспечению безопасности на всех этапах педиатрической и неонатальной помощи — от родов и послеродового ухода до назначения и применения лекарственных средств, постановки диагноза, проведения иммунизации, профилактики инфекций и своевременного выявления ухудшения клинического состояния пациентов.

Día Mundial de la Seguridad del Paciente – 17 de septiembre de 2025

El Director General de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) presenta sus respetos a los Estados Miembros y tiene el honor de informarlos de que la OMS está colaborando con las partes interesadas internacionales y nacionales para planificar el Día Mundial de la Seguridad del Paciente de 2025, que se observará y celebrará en todo el mundo el próximo 17 de septiembre.

La Asamblea Mundial de la Salud estableció el Día Mundial de la Seguridad del Paciente en mayo de 2019 mediante la adopción de la resolución WHA72.6, titulada «Acción mundial en pro de la seguridad del paciente». Los objetivos de Día Mundial de la Seguridad del Paciente, que se celebra anualmente el 17 de septiembre, son despertar una mayor concienciación y participación de la sociedad, mejorar la solidaridad mundial y movilizar la acción de los Estados Miembros para promover la seguridad del paciente en consonancia con los objetivos y metas intermedias nacionales.

En reconocimiento de la vulnerabilidad de los recién nacidos y los niños a los riesgos para la seguridad del paciente, el tema seleccionado para el Día Mundial de la Seguridad del Paciente de 2025 es «Cuidados seguros para todos los recién nacidos y todos los niños».

Reforzar la seguridad en los cuidados pediátricos y neonatales es esencial para lograr la cobertura sanitaria universal y cumplir la meta 3.2 de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, a saber, poner fin a las muertes evitables de recién nacidos y de niños menores de 5 años. En el Plan de Acción Mundial para la Seguridad del Paciente 2021-2030 se reconoce la seguridad pediátrica y neonatal en múltiples objetivos estratégicos, como el diseño de procesos clínicos seguros, el fortalecimiento de las competencias del personal de salud, la participación de los pacientes y las familias, y el establecimiento de sistemas de aprendizaje para prevenir daños. A través del lema «¡La seguridad del paciente desde el comienzo!» la OMS insta a realizar esfuerzos concertados en ámbitos fundamentales para la seguridad de los pacientes pediátricos y neonatales, como el parto y la atención posnatal seguros, la seguridad de los medicamentos, la seguridad del diagnóstico, la seguridad de la vacunación, la prevención de infecciones y el reconocimiento temprano del deterioro clínico.

La Sede, las oficinas regionales y las oficinas de la OMS en los países se prestarán con sumo gusto a colaborar con los Estados Miembros para asegurar el éxito de esta jornada en 2025.
