Invitation Copenhagen Life Science Summit October 8-9 2025 | Innovation District Copenhagen | Denmark It is with great pleasure we invite you to attend Copenhagen Life Science Summit, a two-day high-level conference hosted by Rigshospitalet and Healthcare Denmark, taking place on October 8-9 2025, at multiple locations in the heart of Innovation District Copenhagen.
Copenhagen Life Science Summit will bring together key stakeholders from across the European health and life science ecosystem – including policymakers, academia, public health organisations, industry leaders and patient organisations from the EU27 and beyond. Together, we will explore how Europe can advance its position as a leading life science region – enhancing competitiveness and driving the development of more resilient and innovative health systems that deliver better outcomes for patients across Europe.
The two-day programme:
Advancing health and life sciences-based innovation across Europe by tackling key barriers and unlocking new opportunities for growth and impact will be explored over the course of the two days with a point of departure in the Strategy for European Life Sciences: A Strategy for European Life Sciences - Positioning the EU as the world’s most attractive place for life sciences by 2030.
On October 8, Rigshospitalet will host the conference day “ Invest, Innovate, Collaborate, Elevate: Strategic Perspectives for an Innovative and Competitive European Life Sciences Ecosystem” aimed at discussing the implementation of the Strategy for European Life Sciences. High-level stakeholders from the health and life science ecosystem will engage in roundtable discussions on five key topics, gathering insights and developing recommendations. These recommendations will be presented to the European Commission. The conference day will be concluded by standing dinner reception at Copenhagen City Hall hosted by Healthcare Denmark.
On October 9, Healthcare Denmark will host the conference day “Life Science: A Catalyst for European Competitiveness” aimed at discussing what the life science sector has to offer – from innovation and research to health solutions, investment opportunities, and export potential. The focus will be on exploring concrete initiatives on how life science can become a driver of growth, new business development, and increased competitiveness across Europe. The conference day will also highlight the European health ecosystem in a global context and underline the importance of a strong approach to European collaboration across public and private stakeholders.
