ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Supreme Court of Korea is hosting the Sejong International Conference to
honor the leadership and significant achievements of King Sejong the Great in
the field of law. Renowned for creating the Korean alphabet, Hangeul, in 1443,
King Sejong implemented comprehensive reforms to the legal system during his
32-year reign, enhancing access to justice and strengthening the rule of law.
The conference will bring together chief justices, judges, and legal scholars to
draw inspiration from King Sejong’s vision and explore innovative ways to
improve the rule of law and access to the justice.
Esteemed invited guests include Honorable Chief Justices from Asia
and the Pacific, the Americas, and Europe.
