Further to our email below, we would like to kindly remind you that we have not yet received the nominations for your country’s representatives to the EUnetCCC Policy Board (see more information about the Policy Board in the email below).

As a reminder, we are kindly asking you to:

Nominate one primary representative, and
Nominate one alternate member (to act in case of unavailability), to represent your Ministry of Health (or equivalent) on the Policy Board.

This board plays a key advisory role in the Joint Action and to ensure sustainable and active participation throughout the four-year duration of the project, it is strongly recommended that the nominated representatives hold a permanent position within the Ministry of Health or a relevant national institution involved in cancer, public health, or health policy.

We would be grateful if you could share the names, positions, and contact details of the nominated individuals as soon as possible. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Dear Competent Authorities,

As part of the Joint Action EUnetCCC (European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres), we kindly invite you to nominate an official national representative and an alternate member from your Ministry of Health or equivalent authority to serve on the project’s Policy Board.

As outlined in the Consortium Agreement (Sections 6.1.2 and 6.4.4 – see attached), the Policy Board is one of the key advisory bodies of the Joint Action. It is composed of one representative per participating government (Ministries of Health or equivalent), as well as representatives from the European Commission and the Steering Committee.

The main roles of the Policy Board are to:

Ensure alignment between the objectives of the Joint Action and national/EU health policies;
Provide guidance and advice on the appropriate execution of the Joint Action in relation to these policies;
Support the integration of project outcomes into public health strategies;
Participate in the General Assembly and receive regular updates on the project’s progress from the Coordinator.

To ensure sustainable and active participation throughout the four-year duration of the project, it is strongly recommended that the nominated representatives hold a permanent position within the Ministry of Health or a relevant national institution involved in cancer, public health, or health policy.

We therefore kindly ask you to:

Nominate one primary representative, and
Nominate one alternate member (to act in case of unavailability),
to represent your Ministry of Health (or equivalent) on the Policy Board.

Please send us the names, positions, and contact details of the nominated individuals by 31/07.

The first meeting of the Policy Board will be held online on:

Tuesday 23 September from 10:00 to 12:00 (CET)

A second meeting will be held in person, ahead of the EUnetCCC Annual Meeting:

Wednesday 5 November from 14:00 to 17:00 (CET)

Calendar invitations will follow shortly, and further details on the agenda and venue will be shared in due course.
