The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) presents its compliments to the Embassies of its Member States in Italy and has the honour to inform them that the opening session of the International Programme for Law and Development – Balkans, Eastern Partnership countries, Central Asia, and the Caucasus (BEPCAC) 2025 will take place in person at the premises of UNIDROIT (Via Panisperna 28, Rome) on Monday, 15 September 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
UNIDROIT further has the honour to inform that the session will be held in the presence of Hon. Edmondo Cirielli, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
Building on the consolidated experience of the Africa Plus edition of the IPLD Programme, the BEPCAC 2025 edition is designed to bring together legal professionals from the regions concerned and to foster international legal cooperation through a deeper understanding of key UNIDROIT Instruments relating to sustainable development, agricultural investment, access to credit, digital assets, and cultural heritage.
This edition has been made possible thanks to the generous contribution of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, reflecting Italy’s broader commitment to strengthening international partnerships in the legal and development fields.
UNIDROIT would be honoured by the presence of representatives of its Member States at this inaugural session, which will mark a significant occasion for institutional dialogue and exchange among international and Italian stakeholders, experts, and programme participants. A buffet lunch reception will be offered following the event.
