Dear Sir/Madam,
I am pleased to invite your country to participate in the tenth session of the Conference of Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport (COP10), which will take place at UNESCO Headquarters (Room I) in Paris from 20 to 22 October 2025.
This pivotal session marks the Convention’s 20th anniversary – a defining moment for global efforts to safeguard the values, ethics, integrity of sport and uphold the principles of fairness, inclusion and respect for rules in sport and society. COP10 is set to be a landmark occasion, where key strategic decisions will shape the trajectory of the Convention and the global ecosystem for years to come. The provisional agenda is enclosed.
States Parties are encouraged to share proposals and contributions regarding the main themes, activities, and side-events for COP10 to serve as a collaborative and inclusive forum. Please use the following link to share your country’s vision on how we may best celebrate twenty years of collective achievements under the Convention: https://forms.office.com/e/kMAjKqgpfa.
You are invited to confirm the participation of your State Party representative(s), notably of the Minister responsible for implementing the Convention, by 5 September 2025, using the online registration form available at: https://indico.un.org/event/1016482/. States Parties are urged to ensure their delegations are empowered with full decision- making authority (form enclosed). As per customary practice for Category II meetings, the travel expenses and subsistence allowances of participants will be borne by the governments they represent.
The Conference will be conducted in UNESCO’s six official languages. The working documents will be made available on the dedicated webpage in advance.
