WITH REFERENCE to Focused Circular No 23(25), dated 5 March 2025, by which the Member States of the HCCH were invited to cast their votes before 5 September 2025, in accordance with Article 2 of the HCCH’s Statute, on the proposal made by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the admission of the Republic of Guatemala as a Member of the HCCH;
HAVING NOTED the votes cast by Member States within the deadline mentioned above, and
WHEREAS the following Member States (31) have cast a vote favourable to the admission of the Republic of Guatemala as a future Member of the HCCH: Argentina Australia Austria Canada Chile Costa Rica Czech Republic Dominican Republic Finland France Georgia
Germany Greece Ireland Israel Italy Japan Luxembourg Mexico Monaco Netherlands (The) Portugal
Serbia Slovakia South Africa Spain Switzerland Ukraine United States of America Uruguay Viet Nam
WHEREAS no Member State has cast a vote against the admission within the period of time provided; DETERMINES that the majority required in Article 2(2) of the HCCH’s Statute has voted in favour of the admission of the Republic of Guatemala as a future Member of the HCCH.
CONSEQUENTLY, the Republic of Guatemala has been invited to deposit the instrument of acceptance to become a Member of the HCCH.
IN WITNESS THEREOF this certificate has been drawn up and signed, today 8 September 2025.

EN CONSÉQUENCE, la République du Guatemala a été invitée à déposer l’instrument d’acceptation du Statut pour devenir Membre de la HCCH ;

CON REFERENCIA a la Circular Específica N.º 23(25), de fecha 5 de marzo de 2025, por la que se invitó a los Estados miembros de la HCCH a votar, antes del 5 de septiembre de 2025, sobre la propuesta formulada por el Gobierno del Reino de los Países Bajos para la admisión de la República de Guatemala como Miembro de la HCCH, de conformidad con el artículo 2 del Estatuto;
TRAS CONOCER los votos emitidos por los Estados miembros durante el plazo mencionado, y
CONSIDERANDO que los siguientes Estados miembros (31) han votado a favor de la admisión de la República de Guatemala como futuro Miembro de la HCCH: Alemania Argentina Australia Austria Canada Chile Costa Rica Eslovaquia España Estados Unidos de América Finlandia
Francia Georgia Grecia Irlanda Israel Italia Japón Luxemburgo México Mónaco Países Bajos

CONSIDERANDO que ningún Estado miembro ha votado en contra de la admisión en el plazo concedido; CONSTATA que la mayoría requerida en el artículo 2(2) del Estatuto ha votado a favor de la admisión de la República de Guatemala como futuro Miembro de la HCCH.
POR CONSIGUIENTE, se ha invitado a la República de Guatemala a depositar el instrumento de aceptación para convertirse en Miembro de la HCCH.
EN FE DE LO CUAL, se estableció y firmó el presente certificado en el día de hoy, ocho de septiembre de dos mil veinticuatro.
