Mari Puniste Tartu Ülikooli Sotsiaalteaduslike rakendusuuringute keskus RAKE [email protected] Letter of Support for the Horizon Europe Proposal To whom it may concern, On behalf of the Estonian Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs and the Department of Crime Policy, I
am pleased to express our strong support for the Horizon Europe proposal REGAIN - Knowledge-
based empoweRment & countEraction to tech facilitated gendered harm In Europe submitted
under the call HORIZON-CL2-2025-01-TRANSFO-01.
The proposed project tackles one of the most pressing and complex challenges of our digital society
– technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TF GBV). We recognize the project's commitment to
an interdisciplinary, intersectional, and action-oriented approach that will meaningfully contribute to
knowledge, policy, and practice across Europe. We are confident that REGAIN will make a significant
contribution to creating safer and more just environments, grounded in human rights, gender equality,
and collective responsibility.
We fully support the REGAIN consortium and look forward to potential collaboration as the project
progresses. We express our willingness to promote the project and explore further opportunities for
collaboration during the implementation phase.
We understand that, through this letter, we will not become official partners in the project, and that we
will not receive any funding from the EU and that, in turn, we will not be asked to contribute financially
to the project.
Yours sincerely, Laidi Surva Deputy Secretary General for Criminal Policy Anna-Liisa Uisk +372 58224272 [email protected]
