Please accept this letter as a token of my sincere gratitude as 1 prepare to conclude my tenurc as the Representative of the Taipei Mission in the Republic ofLatvia. It has been a profound honor to reprcscnt my Country and to serve in Latvia and Estonia during this pivotal time in our shared history, arnid dynamic and uncertain geopolitiCal chalienges.
1 am especially gratefa1 for the steadfast support and Cooperation extended to me by your esteerned government offiCiais, as well as friends frorn the Riigikogu and various sectors, throughout my time here. The Estonian governrnent’s dedication and pariiarnentary rnernbers’ facilitation to strengthening our SpeCifIc area of cooperation ties have been instrumental in advancing our shared goals and has been deeply appreciated. 1 also want to acknowledgc the incredible warrnth and hospitality extended to me and my colieagues by the peopie ofEstonia; it is something 1 wiil carry with me always.
During my service, 1 have been deepiy moved by the enduring spirit of Estonia and its peopie—a spirit defined by resilicnce, pride, and a rich cultural heritage. The nationwide Song and Dance Festival, with its tens of thousands of voices and dancers united in celebration, the heartfelt cornmemoration ofTaasiseseisvurnispäev, and the timeless beauty ofEstonia’s folk ali and crafts ali stand as powerful testaments to the nation’s strength and soul. These experiences have touched me profoundly and deepened iriy admiration and affection for this remarkable Country and its extraordinary people.
As 1 depart, 1 airi pleased to introduce my successor, Ambassador Winston W.Y. Chen, who brings a wealth of experienCe and dedication to this inuportant role. 1 kindly ask you to extend the same warm hospitality and generous support to hirn as you have graciously shown me. With hirn serving as Taiwan’s new envoy, 1 am fihled with hope for the deepening of the friendship and partnership between our two nations. 1 anu also eonfident that with your continued guidance and cooperation, the boiuds we have forged wilI endure, and our collaboration wiII Continue to bring mutual beiuefit and progress for years to come.
