Dear Karmen,
Please accept this letter as a token of my sincere gratitude as 1 prepare to conclude my tenure as the Representative of the Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia. It has been a profound honor to represent my country and to serve in Latvia and Estonia during this pivotal time in our shared history, arnid dynamic and uncertain gcopolitical challenges.
1 arn especially grateful for the steadfast support and cooperation extended to me by your esteemed governrnent officials, as well as friends frorn the Riigikogu and various sectors, throughout my time here. The Estonian government’s dedication and parliamentary mernbers’ facilitation to strengthening our spccific area ofcooperation ties have been instrurnental in advancing our shared goals and has been deeply appreciated. 1 also want to acknowledge the incredible warrnth and hospitality extcnded to me and my colleagues by the people ofEstonia; it is something 1 will carry with me always.
During my service, 1 have been deeply moved by the enduring spirit of Estonia and its people—a spirit defined by resilience, pride, and a rich cu]tural heritage. The nationwide Song and Dance Festival, with its tens of thousands of voices and dancers united in cclebration, the lieartfelt comrnemoration ofTaasiseseisvumispäcv, and the tirneless beauty ofEstonia’s folk ali and crafts ali stand as powerful testarnents to the nation’s strength and soul. These expcriences have touchcd me profoundly and deepened my adniiration and affection for this rernarkable country and its extraordinary people.
As 1 depart, 1 am pleased to introduce my successor, Arnbassador Winston W.Y.
