The World Health Organization (WHO) presents its compliments to Member States and

has the honour to inform them that the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Centre (GTMC), is organizing the second WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit (the Summit), which will take place in a hybrid format on 17–19 December 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, India.

The second Summit, with the theme “Restoring balance: The science and practice of health and well-being”, will focus on enhancing the contribution of traditional medicine to national health systems and to inclusive, sustainable development. The event will include a ministerial dialogue from 17:00 to 18:30 (IST) on 17 December 2025.

In this regard, the objectives of the second Summit are to:

(1) advance the implementation of the WHO Global Strategy for Traditional Medicine (2025–2034), adopted at the Seventy-eighth World Health Assembly;

(2) align stakeholders on next steps to accelerate the implementation of the Global Strategy for Traditional medicine (2025–2034);

(3) mobilize national commitments across key areas such as policy, regulation, financing, research, and health system integration;

(4) foster knowledge and commitment among different stakeholder groups to integrate evidence-based traditional medicine in health systems, promote access and equity, and strengthen sustainability; and

(5) share traditional medicine national experiences related to policy and practice, research and innovations, integration, regulation, and cross-sectoral engagement, following up on the outcomes of the first Summit, concluding with the Gujarat Declaration.

By blending scientific innovation with cultural wisdom, and championing regulation and sustainability, the Summit will help advance universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals, while inspiring a global movement for health and planetary balance.

Member States are requested to nominate up to three participants from their respective countries across different stakeholder groups with expertise relevant to the Global Summit’s

... programme (as presented in the attached concept note) to compose their delegations considering the following possible stakeholder groups: (a) National Policy-Makers and Regulators;

以（线上线下）混合方式举办第二届世卫组织传统医学全球峰会（以下简称“峰

会”）。

第二届峰会的主题为“恢复平衡：健康与福祉的科学与实践”，重点探讨如何加强

传统医学对国家卫生系统及包容性可持续发展的贡献。活动将包括于 2025 年 12 月 17 日

17:00 至 18:30（印度标准时间）举行的部长级对话会。

为此，第二届峰会的目标是：

(1) 推动实施第七十八届世界卫生大会通过的《世卫组织传统医学全球战略（2025- 2034 年）》；

(2) 协调各利益攸关方就加速实施《传统医学全球战略（2025-2034 年）》的后续步

骤达成共识；

(3) 推动各国在政策、监管、筹资、研究和卫生系统整合等关键领域作出承诺；

L’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) présente ses compliments aux États Membres et a l’honneur de les informer que le Centre mondial de l’OMS pour la médecine traditionnelle organise le deuxième Sommet mondial sur la médecine traditionnelle (ci-après, le « Sommet »), qui aura lieu, selon des modalités hybrides, du 17 au 19 décembre 2025 à Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi (Inde).

Ce deuxième Sommet, qui aura pour thème « Rétablir l’équilibre : la science et la pratique de la santé et du bien-être », aura pour but de renforcer la contribution de la médecine traditionnelle aux systèmes de santé nationaux et au développement durable inclusif. Un dialogue ministériel sera organisé le 17 décembre 2025 de 17 heures à 18 h 30 (heure normale de l’Inde), dans le cadre du Sommet.

Les objectifs du deuxième Sommet sont les suivants :

1) faire progresser la mise en œuvre de la Stratégie mondiale pour la médecine traditionnelle (2025-2034) adoptée à la Soixante-Dix-Huitième Assemblée mondiale de la Santé ;

2) mettre d’accord les parties prenantes sur les prochaines étapes en vue de mettre en œuvre plus vite la Stratégie mondiale pour la médecine traditionnelle (2025-2034) ;

3) susciter des engagements nationaux dans des domaines essentiels, tels que les politiques, la réglementation, le financement, la recherche et l’intégration dans les systèmes de santé ;

4) promouvoir les connaissances et l’engagement parmi différents groupes de parties prenantes en vue d’intégrer la médecine traditionnelle fondée sur des données probantes dans les systèmes de santé, de favoriser l’accès et l’équité, et de renforcer la pérennité ; et

5) partager les expériences relatives aux politiques et aux pratiques, à la recherche et aux innovations, à l’intégration, à la réglementation et à la mobilisation intersectorielle dans le domaine de la médecine traditionnelle, en s’appuyant sur les conclusions du premier Sommet, qui s’est achevé par la Déclaration du Gujarat.

En associant innovation scientifique et sagesse culturelle, et en défendant la réglementation et la pérennité, le Sommet contribuera à progresser sur la voie de la couverture sanitaire universelle et des objectifs de développement durable, tout en créant un élan mondial en faveur de la santé et de l’équilibre de la planète.

(2) согласовать дальнейшие действия заинтересованных сторон по ускоренной реализации Глобальной стратегии в области народной медицины (2025–2034 гг.);

(3) активизировать усилия стран в таких приоритетных областях, как политика, регулирование, финансирование, научные исследования в сфере народной медицины и ее интеграция в системы здравоохранения;

(4) содействовать расширению знаний различных категорий заинтересованных сторон о народной медицине и активизации их действий по внедрению научно обоснованных методов народной медицины в работу систем здравоохранения для расширения сбалансированного охвата такими услугами и их развития в долгосрочной перспективе; и

(5) обеспечить обмен опытом между странами по вопросам политики и практики, научных исследований и инноваций в области народной медицины, ее интеграции в системы здравоохранения, регулирования и межведомственного взаимодействия в свете итогов первого саммита, завершившегося принятием Гуджаратской декларации.

Опираясь на синтез научных инноваций и культурного наследия, а также достижения в области регулирования и обеспечения устойчивости, саммит будет способствовать расширению всеобщего охвата услугами здравоохранения и осуществлению целей в области устойчивого развития и поможет сформировать всемирное движение за укрепление здоровья и гармонию на планете.

Государствам-членам предлагается делегировать от каждой страны не более трех участников, представляющих различные заинтересованные стороны и имеющих профессиональный опыт в областях, имеющих отношение к программе

Запросы на оплату путевых расходов и оказание организационной поддержки рассматриваются ВОЗ с учетом специфики каждой страны и имеющихся финансовых средств.

Рабочий язык саммита – английский с синхронным переводом на все шесть официальных языков ВОЗ (арабский, китайский, французский, русский и испанский), а также на хинди. По окончании каждого заседания зарегистрированные участники смогут в любое время ознакомиться с его видеозаписью на веб-платформе саммита.

La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) presenta sus respetos a los Estados Miembros

y tiene el honor de informarles de que el Centro Mundial de Medicina Tradicional de la OMS está organizando la segunda Cumbre Mundial de la OMS sobre Medicina Tradicional (la Cumbre), que tendrá lugar en formato híbrido del 17 al 19 de diciembre de 2025 en Bharat Mandapam, Nueva Delhi (India).

La segunda Cumbre, cuyo tema será «Restablecer el equilibrio: la ciencia y la práctica de la salud y el bienestar», se centrará en mejorar la contribución de la medicina tradicional a los sistemas nacionales de salud y al desarrollo inclusivo y sostenible. Durante el evento tendrá lugar un diálogo ministerial, que se celebrará el 17 de diciembre de 2025 de las 17.00 a las 18.30 horas (hora oficial de la India).

A este respecto, los objetivos de la segunda Cumbre son:

1) promover la aplicación de la Estrategia Mundial de la OMS sobre Medicina Tradicional (2025-2034), adoptada en la 78.ª Asamblea Mundial de la Salud;

2) alinear a las partes interesadas en relación con los próximos pasos a fin de acelerar la aplicación de la Estrategia Mundial sobre Medicina Tradicional (2025-2034);

3) movilizar compromisos nacionales en esferas clave como las políticas, la regulación, la financiación, la investigación y la integración en los sistemas de salud;

4) fomentar el conocimiento y el compromiso entre distintos grupos de partes interesadas con miras a integrar la medicina tradicional basada en la evidencia en los sistemas de salud, promover el acceso y la equidad y fortalecer la sostenibilidad; y

5) compartir experiencias nacionales en la esfera de la medicina tradicional relacionadas con políticas y prácticas, investigación e innovaciones, integración, regulación y compromiso intersectorial, dando seguimiento a los resultados de la primera Cumbre, que concluyó con la Declaración de Gujarat.

Al combinar la innovación científica con la sabiduría cultural y defender la reglamentación y la sostenibilidad, la Cumbre ayudará a promover la cobertura universal de salud y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, al tiempo que servirá de fuente de inspiración para un movimiento global en pro de la salud y el equilibrio planetario.

Se solicita a los Estados Miembros que designen, para sus delegaciones, a un máximo de tres participantes de sus respectivos países, pertenecientes a distintos grupos de partes interesadas y con los conocimientos especializados pertinentes para el programa de la Cumbre

… Mundial (que se presenta en la nota conceptual adjunta), teniendo en cuenta a los siguientes grupos de posibles partes interesadas: a) responsables de la formulación de políticas y reguladores nacionales; b) organizaciones internacionales y regionales; c) proveedores y asociaciones de medicina tradicional complementaria e integradora; d) proveedores y asociaciones profesionales del ámbito de la atención biomédica; e) instituciones de investigación y académicas y centros de enseñanza; f) Pueblos Indígenas y comunidades locales; g) asociaciones de consumidores, pacientes y usuarios; h) sociedad civil; i) industria e innovadores; j) jóvenes, estudiantes y líderes emergentes; k) financiadores y donantes; l) prensa, instituciones culturales y personas influyentes del ámbito multimedia.

Las designaciones para asistir a la Cumbre deben enviarse por correo electrónico a [email protected] a más tardar el 20 de octubre de 2025 y deben incluir los siguientes datos de las personas designadas:

Todos los participantes designados —tres por delegación como máximo— recibirán por correo electrónico el orden del día provisional y los datos de inscripción individual para acceder a la plataforma web de la Cumbre. La OMS coordinará las solicitudes de apoyo logístico y de viaje teniendo en cuenta el contexto de cada país y la disponibilidad de fondos.

El idioma de trabajo de la Cumbre será el inglés y se ofrecerán servicios de interpretación a todos los idiomas oficiales de la OMS (árabe, chino, español, francés y ruso), así como al hindi. Los participantes inscritos podrán acceder, a través de la plataforma web de la Cumbre, a la grabación en vídeo de todas las sesiones a medida que vayan concluyendo para poder visionarlas en diferido.
