Request for extension of the deadline for

submission of the assurance package (Article

98(2) CPR)

Dear Mr Ackers,

Herewith, the Estonian Ministry of the Interior, acting as the Responsible Authority, kindly

requests the European Commission to extend the deadline laid down in Article 98(1) of

Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 (CPR) for the submission of the assurance package for the

accounting year 01/07/2024–30/06/2025 of programmes 2021EE65AMPR001,

2021EE65BVPR001, and 2021EE65ISPR001 until 1 March 2026.

This request is made pursuant to Article 98(2) of the CPR, which allows the Commission to

exceptionally extend the deadline. The request is motivated by the Audit Authority, which is

currently experiencing an increased workload due to the extensive scope of audits on operations

carried out during this accounting year.

Granting this extension will allow the Audit Authority to finalise its audit work in full

compliance with internationally accepted auditing standards, thereby ensuring the reliability of

the assurance package submitted to the Commission.
