REMINDER Invitation to 2025 World Conference on Doping in Sport
Week of 1-5 December 2025 | Busan, Republic of Korea Dear Ministers of Sport, On behalf of the World Anti-Doping Agency and the Government of the Republic of Korea, we are writing to kindly remind you that you are invited to attend the sixth edition of the World Conference on Doping in Sport, which will take place this December in the coastal city of Busan, Republic of Korea. The Conference, which will officially open on 2 December and conclude on 5 December 2025, is being convened by WADA, with the generous support of the Government of the Republic of Korea, Busan Metropolitan City, and the Korea Anti-Doping Agency. Bringing together leaders and decision-makers from world governments, the sport movement, athletes, science, and civil society, the Conference will present a critical opportunity for the global anti-doping community to engage in high-level discussions about the World Anti-Doping Program. The value of this event cannot be understated, for it is not only a time for productive conversations regarding the approval of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards; it is also a time for collective reflection and reaffirmation. The Katowice Declaration, which was approved by stakeholders during WADA’s 2019 World Conference, called on all anti-doping stakeholders to, amongst other things, “reinforce their efforts to strengthen their cooperation in every possible way” and “to present a unified front to strive to eradicate doping in sport.” The 2025 edition of the World Conference is an opportunity to take stock of the progress that has been made on those fronts and for stakeholders to commit, both to themselves and to the global anti-doping community, to continue to strengthen their commitment to the protection of clean sport. To those who have already registered for the Conference, thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Busan. To those who have not yet registered, the registration deadline is fast approaching (10 October 2025) and we encourage you to register via the registration portal as soon as possible. We would also welcome the attendance of additional delegates and observers from your governments who share our commitment to advancing clean sport.

We encourage you to visit the official Conference website to learn more about the event and to begin planning your trip to Busan. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff should you have any questions at [email protected]; they will be pleased to assist. With kind regards,
