On behalf of the Permanent Bureau (PB), I am pleased to invite Embassy officials of HCCH Members to the 2025 HCCH Annual Briefing for Members of the Organisation.
This briefing is scheduled to take place at the premises of the PB in The Hague (Churchillplein 6b) on Monday 17 November 2025 from 3.00 to 5.00 p.m. (CET). It is aimed at newly arrived officials at diplomatic missions and will cover the following topics: an introduction to the HCCH, PB operations and cooperation with diplomatic missions, and ongoing work. The working language will be English.
With this briefing, we hope to provide to your diplomatic mission any information it may require for the fulfilment of its role as Member of the HCCH and for the proper and effective implementation and operation of the HCCH Conventions to which it already is a Contracting Party. (An overview of Members of the Organisation and the Conventions to which they are party can be found here.) The briefing will also be an opportunity for officials to explore the benefits of becoming a Party to additional HCCH Conventions.
Officials are invited to register their interest before Wednesday 12 November 2025, 5.00 p.m. (CET) by sending an e-mail to [email protected] mentioning the name, title, and diplomatic mission of the participating officer(s). Please note that space in the HCCH conference room is limited and seats will be allocated on a first registered, first served basis.

En nombre de la Oficina Permanente, me complace invitar a los funcionarios de las embajadas de los Miembros de la HCCH a la Reunión Informativa Anual de 2025 dirigida a los Miembros de la Organización.
Dicha reunión se celebrará en la sede de la Oficina Permanente en La Haya (Churchillplein 6b) el lunes 17 de noviembre de 2025, de 15:00 a 17:00 (hora de Europa Central). Está dirigida a los funcionarios recién llegados a las misiones diplomáticas y en ella se tratarán los siguientes temas: introducción a la HCCH, funcionamiento de la Oficina Permanente y cooperación con las misiones diplomáticas, y trabajos en curso. El idioma de trabajo será el inglés.
Con esta reunión informativa, pretendemos brindar a su misión diplomática toda la información que pueda necesitar para cumplir con su función como Miembro de la HCCH, así como para la implementación y el funcionamiento adecuados y eficaces de los Convenios de la HCCH de los que ya es Parte contratante. (En este enlace puede encontrar una descripción general de los Miembros de la Organización y los Convenios en los que son parte). La reunión también brindará a los funcionarios la oportunidad de estudiar las ventajas de convertirse en Parte en otros Convenios de la HCCH.
Se invita a los funcionarios a que indiquen su interés en participar por correo electrónico a [email protected]. La fecha límite para ello es el miércoles 12 de noviembre de 2025 a las 17:00 (hora de Europa Central). Se ruega indicar el nombre, cargo y misión diplomática del funcionario o funcionarios en cuestión. Cabe señalar que el espacio en la sala de conferencias de la HCCH es limitado y las plazas se asignarán por orden de inscripción.

Au nom du Bureau Permanent (BP), j’ai le plaisir d’inviter les fonctionnaires des Ambassades des Membres de la HCCH à la Réunion d’information annuelle 2025 de la HCCH destinée aux Membres de l’Organisation.
Cette réunion se tiendra dans les locaux du BP à La Haye (Churchillplein 6b) le lundi 17 novembre 2025, de 15 h à 17 h (heure d’Europe centrale). Elle s’adresse aux nouveaux fonctionnaires récemment arrivés au sein des missions diplomatiques et couvrira les sujets suivants : présentation de la HCCH, fonctionnement du BP et coopération avec les missions diplomatiques, présentation des travaux en cours. La langue de travail sera l’anglais.
Au travers de cette réunion, nous espérons offrir à votre mission diplomatique toute l’information utile et nécessaire à l’exercice de son rôle en tant que Membre de la HCCH, ainsi qu’à la bonne mise en œuvre des Conventions de la HCCH auxquelles elle est déjà Partie contractante. (Un aperçu des Membres de l’Organisation et des Conventions auxquelles ils sont Parties est disponible ici.) La réunion sera également l’occasion pour les fonctionnaires d’examiner les avantages d’une adhésion à d’autres Conventions de la HCCH.
Les fonctionnaires sont invités à manifester leur intérêt avant le mercredi 12 novembre 2025, à 17 h (heure d’Europe centrale), en envoyant un courrier électronique à [email protected] mentionnant le nom et le titre du / des participant(s), ainsi que la mission diplomatique. Veuillez noter que la capacité de la salle de conférence de la HCCH est limitée ; les places seront attribuées par ordre d’inscription.
