Dear NFPT and NFPP Members,
As part of a larger initiative of ECDC to capacitate countries on preparedness emergency and response, ECDC is launching an e-learning about “Recovery from infectious disease outbreaks: From lessons learned to lessons identified”.
Thank you for the work many of you have put into this product, mainly as reviewers providing feedback.
Could you please circulate the news about the release of this e-learning among your networks? We will soon share this information through the ECDC social media sites and EVA, however, we wanted to be sure you got the information first.
Course summary:
Recovery is a part of the preparedness cycle that is often neglected, yet, of crucial importance. In the context of infectious disease outbreaks, it is hard to visualise and describe what recovery even means, as the impact is virtually invisible except to those directly affected. During this e-learning, the learner will be exposed to the concept of recovery and its importance, stakeholders that may be involved, and the process of action planning, taking into consideration lessons identified during the recovery phase. You can find the course at the EVA site here. This e-learning is targeted for public health professionals interested in the preparedness process. It consists of interactive elements, a case scenario, integrated quizzes, and an evaluation. |
With hopes this joint effort is shared within your country,
Public Health Training Section
