Subject: Vs: Nicotine Pouches Making People Very Slow? Safe for Pregnant Women?
Dear Vittorio
Thank you for your inquiry.
Nicotine is a systemically distributed poison, the target organs of which are the central nervous and cardiovascular systems, but also the lungs, digestive tract and reproductive system. The poison crosses the placental barrier and is excreted in breast milk. So to answer your question - indeed, all nicotine products are dangerous for pregnant women and the fetus.
Nicotine patches are available in different strengths, and a person unaware of the product may accidentally consume a nicotine patch that is too strong for them and experience symptoms of poisoning.
Despite the fact that the product you consumed comes from a legal store, it can cause toxicity complaints in a person who does not normally consume nicotine. The most common health complaints are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and increased salivation, dizziness, headache, sweating, confusion.
People who experience symptoms of poisoning or suspect poisoning are always welcome to call the poison information line, which in Estonia is numbered 16662, as soon as possible for assessment of poisoning and first aid instructions. The call is anonymous and at the price of a landline call, the line is open all the time, 24h. We also answer in English.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of research and statistics, I cannot comment on the question of the slowness of diplomats and politicians in the Baltic countries or their consumption of nicotine products.
Best wishes

Tere!
This week at LIFT99, Co-Working Space in Telliskivi Tallinn, we’ve made an Italian night with the initiative ‘TASTE99’. We prepared gnocchi and then cooked them and served them to about 25 people. At the end of the evening I’ve tried a nicotine pouch from a box owned by a lady for a few minutes, I felt very very slow and dizzy. The product was legally bought in a place that sells it legally.
Are these nicotine pouches safe for pregnant women (and for they create)?
Is this the reason why there are jokes among Latvian/Lithuanian diplomats/politicians about Estonian diplomats/politicians that make fun of the fact that Estonian diplomats/politicians are slow? It’s because there are too many people (including diplomats/politicians) in Estonia using these slow-down products (that in my opinion are also disgusting and I won’t ever use one again)?
