Title of research, study, project or grant name The Politics of Nation- and State-Building in Estonia

9/2023 —present (First phase of project to conclude upon dissertation defense in 2027).

A brief description of the research, study or project. This project aims to shed light onto trends in public opinion prior to the transition to Estonian-language instruction related to education, citizenship, and belonging. Data from the Estonian Integration Monitoring Survey from years 2011–2023 will supplement public opinion survey data that I have collected in 2024 and 2025 about the transition.

Description of the use of the database(s), access rights, storage and destruction conditions. I agree to faithfully abide by all data security provisions determined by the Ministry of Culture in terms of data sharing and storage. In keeping with the ethics committee data protection standards at Princeton University, all data received for this project will be stored in encrypted folders and on a password- protected computer.

CSV, Excel or SPSS are preferred, but the researcher is grateful for delivery in any format.

through a secure data exchange environment. If necessary, another method of data transmission can be agreed

upon that complies with the requirements for secure processing of personal data.
