We would like to thank you for your letter regarding the change of the Administration of Estonia from the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority to the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs. We are pleased to inform you that the ITU Global Directory has been updated accordingly.

Based on the information provided in the email below, we understand that Mr Tõnu Nirk will serve as the Administration Focal Point. His responsibilities as the new Admin Focal Point include validating user account requests, managing TIES access, and validating registration requests for all ITU meetings, events, and conferences. We would also like to inform you that future financial contributions will be addressed to the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs.

We would, however, appreciate clarification regarding the role of the former administration. Will the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority continue to form part of the ITU Membership under the “Admin Related” category?

Additionally, our records indicate that the Authority has served as the registration entity for ITU-R (Radiocommunication Bureau) as Estonia’s technical agency. – Could you kindly confirm whether this responsibility will be transferred to the new Administration?
