Dear National Focal Point for Training,

This is a kind reminder regarding the Call for Expression of Interest for hosting one or more fellows (EPIET and/or EUPHEM) in Cohort 2026 of the ECDC Fellowship Programme, under the EU-track and/or MS-track.

We kindly ask you to indicate how many fellows your Member State is willing and able to train. Please submit your response using Section A of the online form linked below.

If your Member State wishes to have a training site appraised for future hosting, please complete Section B of the same form. This will allow us to schedule a site appraisal and initiate induction activities for Cohort 2026 and beyond.

For practical details and requirements, please refer to the ECDC Fellowship Manual – Annex 09A and 09B. Please also note that hosting EU-track fellows requires a signed Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) with ECDC.

Dear National Focal Point for Training,

Re: Call for expression of interest to the Member States for hosting one or more fellows (EPIET and/or EUPHEM) in Cohort 2026 of the ECDC Fellowship Programme, under the EU-track and/or the MS-track.

The ECDC Fellowship Programme is part of the Centre’s efforts to strengthen the public health workforce in the European Union and based on the contribution of the EU/EEA Member States in terms of training resources.

As the selection process for cohort 2026 of the ECDC Fellowship begins, we are contacting you to request your expressions of interest for hosting fellows under both the EU-track and MS-track, in the EPIET and/or EUPHEM paths. We kindly ask you to indicate how many fellows you are willing and able to train in your Member State.

Please use “Section A” of the online form below to express your interest in hosting EU-track and/or MS-track fellows that you would like to train in Cohort 2026.

Cohort 2026 fellows will be placed in one of the EPIET or EUPHEM acknowledged training sites (see Appendix 1).

Should your Member State wish to have a training site appraised for the purpose of hosting a future EPIET or EUPHEM fellow, please inform us by completing “Section B” of the Response Form. Upon receipt of your official EoI, we will schedule a site appraisal and initiate the induction activities to prepare the potential training site and supervisor(s) for Cohort 2026 and beyond.

Additionally, a general requirement for hosting EU-track fellows is that the training site has a signed “Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) on hosting fellows” with ECDC—either newly established or already in place. The process for establishing new FPAs is expected to begin in early 2026.

We kindly ask you to distribute this call, collect, and submit Expressions of Interest from all training sites in your member state to safeguard their chances to receive a fellow.

If you are not interested in hosting a fellow in Cohort 2026, we would highly appreciate if you let us know by using the same form.

The deadline for submitting your Expression of Interest is December 01, 2025.

The results of the allocation of seats will be announced early in January 2026.

Member States expressing interest in hosting an MS-track fellow will be invited to submit candidate applications by March 2026. We strongly recommend beginning to start identifying suitable candidates as early as possible.
