In order to file a complaint with the administrative court, please proceed as follows:

Content of the complaint:

• * Include Your personal details (name, personal identification code, address, and contact information) and respondent details (name, address).

• * Describe the disputed decision (decision number, date, and a brief summary).

• * Explain why You disagree with the decision.

• * Specify what You are requesting from the court (e.g., annulment of the decision or issuance of a new decision).

Attach all relevant evidence and a copy of the disputed decision.

Sign the complaint (a digital signature if submitted electronically).

The application can be submitted through one of the following methods:

• * Via the e-File system;

• * By email to the court's designated address for procedural documents.

• * In person at the court registry.

• * By post to the court’s official mailing address.

A state fee for the appeal is usually 20 euros. Payment instructions can be found here: https://www.kohus.ee/en/how-initiate-legal-proceedings/procedural-expenses-and-procedural-assistance/payment-state-fee. If You are unable to pay the state fee, this must be stated in the complaint and the reason why. A copy of the payment order must be submitted to the court, or all information enabling electronic verification of payment of the state fee (who paid, to which account, in what amount, when, and payment description).

The working language of the Estonian court is Estonian, but when submitting a complaint in another language, a request for translation help should be indicated.

Good afternoon!

Please tell me how the procedure for challenging a visa refusal decision works and what is required. The appeal was rejected, and it was stated that the decision can be appealed in court.
