VENUE AND DATES OF THE 2027 MEETINGS OF THE CONFERENCES OF THE PARTIES

TO THE BASEL, ROTTERDAM AND STOCKHOLM CONVENTIONS

As decided by the meetings of the conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm convention held from 28 April to 9 May 2025 in Geneva, the 2027 meetings of the conferences of the Parties were to take place back to back from 19 to 30 April 2027, in Panama City, Panama, subject to the satisfactory conclusion of a host country agreement between the Government of Panama and the Secretariat on arrangements for the meetings of the conferences of the Parties. The Secretariat is pleased to inform Parties and observers to the conventions that the host country agreement has been signed by the Government of Panama and the Secretariat. Consequently, the eighteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention, the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention and the thirteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention will take place from 19 to 30 April 2027, in Panama City, at the Panama Convention Centre. Preparatory meetings will be held on Sunday, 18 April 2027. The meetings will not include a high-level segment. Meeting documents, as well as information on logistics and travel arrangements will be made available in due time on the meetings website: www.brsmeas.org/2027COPs.
