Following two successful editions of the Human Capability Initiative, it returns on 3 & 4 May 2026 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This event is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program Committee.
Building on the impact of previous editions, the Human Capability Initiative under the theme #TheHumanCode will explore the future of skills, work, education, and technology, through two days in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the only global platform focused
on addressing human capability and bringing together policymakers, global industry leaders, investors, and academic experts to share insights, exchange best practices, and discuss practical strategies to advance human capability worldwide.

The Human Capability Initiative (HCI), a global cooperative platform aimed at unifying international efforts and enriching global dialogue on the challenges and opportunities in developing human capabilities. Under the theme #TheHumanCode, HCI will explore the future of skills, work, education, and technology through two days in Riyadh, KSA. The initiative will bring together 250 speakers, including policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and academic experts, to share insights, exchange best practices, and discuss practical strategies to advance human capability worldwide.

The Human Capability Initiative (HCI) features sessions delivered across the following stages:

Success Stage This space presents Stories from KSA, showing how people enabled by the Kingdom, activate the Human Code to deliver real impact.
Breakout Sessions 1 & 2 Multifunctional learning spaces dedicated to practical skill development and in-depth learning, offering technical insights through interactive workshops, specialized training, hands-on demonstrations, and moderated expert sessions led by Knowledge Partners and industry experts.
#TheHumanCode Arena The central plenary and focal point of HCI 2026. It hosts the highest-profile sessions, including the opening, closing, major announcements, and global dialogues. Designed for scale and impact, The Human Code Arena sets the tone of the forum with visionary debates and strategic insights that define how people connect, reason and create.
HCI Dialogues Held in an enclosed space and, ‘in the round,’ these group conversations of up to 8 experts have no formal ‘front of the room.’ The audience will sit around the main table, contributing questions and thoughts. This space is designed to share experiences, insights, and solutions. Participants are expected to contribute equally, with the assistance of a chair.
Activations Interactive areas that are used to showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovations, and add a layer of interactive experience to the guest journey.
Partner Booths Dedicated and customized booths for sponsors and partners, allowing them to showcase their newest trends, innovations and activations.
Bilateral Meetings In-person meeting space for attendees offering an opportunity to discuss key topics in private and to establish new connections.

The program focuses on developing a solid educational base for all citizens to instill values from an early age, while preparing the youth for future local and global markets. It also focuses on upskilling citizens by providing lifelong learning opportunities, supporting innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship culture, developing policies to ensure Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness.
The Human Capability Initiative (HCI) is hosted by the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) and is the only global platform focused on addressing human capability (from the perspectives of skills, the future of work, education, talent, and technology).
