Tegemist on ERASMUS+ koostöö meetmega, mille eesmärgiks on Euroopa ülikoolide koostöö suurendamine ja õppe kvaliteedi ning mobiilsuse tõstmine. Võrguskku kuuluvad Euroopa tugevaimad maaülikoolid ning põhieesmärgiks on koolitada tuleviku keskkonnateadlikke „mängumuutjaid“. Kirja lõppu on lisatud lühike kokkuvõte eesmärkidest ja Wageningeni Ülikooli pöördumine koos kaasatud ülikoolide nimekirjaga. RMK-le võib kasu tõusta juhtumipõhiste kursuste korraldamisest, lisaks osalemine täiendusõppe kursustel. Finantsilist kulu ega otsest tulu RMK-le projek toetamisega ei kaasne. Tervitades, Marek Metslaid Direktor Ees Maaülikool Metsanduse ja inseneeria instuut Kreutzwaldi 5 51006 Tartu E-mail: [email protected] Wageningen University, together with its European partners in the Euroleague for Life Sciences network, is currently developing a proposal for an Erasmus+ funded European University project entled LIFE: Euroleague for Life Sciences (LIFE). A European University focusses on enhancing the transnaonal educaonal and research collaboraon to strengthen the quality and relevance for future proof skills of all types of learners (BSc, MSc, PhD, professionals/lifelong learners, etc). The LIFE consorum builds on more than 20 years of experience, and aims to educate a new generaon of game changers who can acvely contribute to the European transion towards a sustainable future in the field of food, feed and biobased producon, natural resources and a living environment. The project will focus on offering learners beer access to the latest scienfic insights at the different partners enabling them to upscale their knowledge, skills and experse in our domain. This upscaling will be realized by, amongst others, facilitang easier access to courses at the different partner university (physically and digitally), joint student challenges based on real life European challenges etc. The project will also further smulate the university to university collaboraon within our life sciences domain by creang knowledge creang teams. The LIFE consorum aims to inspire our colleagues at the life science universies in Europe and strengthen our sector as a whole. We would also like to involve external partners, whose themes and experse are closely related to those of LIFE, in the execuon of the project. To this end, I would like to invite the Associaon for European Life Science Universies to become an associate partner of LIFE, Euroleague for Life Sciences. As an associated partner you will support the European collaboraon within ELLS and highlight the importance of European collaboraon through the European University Iniave. An associate partner will not have specific (financial or other sort) obligaons within the LIFE project but you get access to and are invited to contribute to: 1. Receive invitaons to a variety of naonal, regional and internaonal events, including conferences, roundtables, panel discussions, world cafés, lectures and workshops. 2. Possibility to parcipate in one or two annual events focused on associate partner engagement and expanding our and your network in Europe and beyond. 3. Parcipate in the dialogue with academic staff from different disciplines, different countries and cultures working together on societal challenges related to sustainable development. 4. Parcipate in the organisaon of field trips or offer internships for learners at all levels. 5. Contribute to student work related to challenges relevant to your organisaon.
6. Advise on the external relaons strategy of LIFE, Euroleague for Life Sciences and the development of training programmes. 7. Help promong the work of LIFE, Euroleague for Life Sciences, but also use LIFE, Euroleague for Life Sciences as a channel to reach out to many learners (157.00+ students) and staff (40.000+), and disseminate your acvies related to the mission and vision of LIFE, Euroleague for Life Sciences through for example keynote lectures. If your organisaon is willing to contribute to LIFE as an associated partner, we kindly ask you to send us a leer of intent describing the acvies you would like to share within the project. For your convenience an example leer of intent has been added. The Erasmus+ programme asks all (associated) partners to have a “PIC” number for unique idenficaon on the commission’s plaorm. If such a “PIC” number is already assigned to your organisaon, we would highly appreciate if you could menon it on the leer of intent. The informaon page below offers a search data base of all registered organisaons with their “PIC” number. When a “PIC” number has not been assigned to your organisaon yet Wageningen University can offer support for the registraon. The registraon process can be organized in the coming months. Thank you for sending us the leer before 23 January 2023. Informaon page: hps://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunies/portal/screen/how-to-parcipate/parcipant-register.
