International Conference within the framework of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova
of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to inform you that in 2026 the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova
will host an International Conference, within the framework of the Presidency of the Republic
of Moldova of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers.
The Conference will be held in Chișinău on 24 April 2026 and will focus on “The Future of
the ‘Marketplace of Ideas’ Amid the Rise of the Internet, Fake News, and AI: Challenges for
the Constitutional Courts.” The event will explore how constitutional courts can respond to
the impact of digital platforms, misinformation, and artificial intelligence on freedom of
expression and democratic public debate.
Participants are encouraged to plan their arrival in Chișinău on Thursday, 23 April 2026, and
depart on 25/26 April 2026. On Saturday, 25 April, a social program will be organized for our
distinguished guests. The formal invitations, including the programme and logistic
information, will be sent to you in due course.
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova would be greatly honored by the
participation of your esteemed Court and kindly invites you to reserve the dates for this event.
