Dear Mr Baltmanis,
Thank you for your letter of 3 December 2025 related to the re-commitment of the multi-
national High Capacity Pumping Module BaltFloodCombat to the European Civil
Protection Pool (ECPP). I am thankful that you have extended your commitment to the
ECPP by three years until 19 December 2030.
Over the years, the ECPP has become a central instrument under the Union Civil Protection
Mechanism (UCPM).
I greatly appreciate the continuous commitment of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and
welcome that this capacity will continue to provide a significant contribution to the ECPP
and to the UCPM. This constitutes a strong and tangible example of solidarity and
partnership within the UCPM.
I look forward to our continuous cooperation to further enhance the UCPM.
