The GSMA is honoured to invite Hon. Ms Liisa-Ly Pakosta to the ‘EU Ministerial Roundtable’ at the Ministerial Programme 2026, MWC Barcelona.
The Roundtable will bring together Ministers and leading European telecommunications industry CEOs to engage in a forward-looking dialogue about the continent’s digital future. It will focus on the Digital Networks Act (DNA) and will serve as a timely platform for discussing the implications of the DNA, exploring how this transformative legislation can help Europe build a resilient, competitive, and innovative connectivity landscape that meets the demands of tomorrow’s digital society.
Dr Nicodemos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation & Digital Policy, Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026, and Dr Karsten Wildberger, Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation, Germany, will deliver opening statements.

The EU Ministerial Roundtable at the GSMA Ministerial Programme 2026 will bring together Ministers and leading European telecommunications industry CEOs to engage in a forward-looking dialogue about the continent’s digital future.
The roundtable will focus on the Digital Networks Act (DNA) and will serve as a timely platform for discussing the implications of the DNA, exploring how this transformative legislation can help Europe build a resilient, competitive, and innovative connectivity landscape that meets the demands of tomorrow’s digital society.
Participants will address how to bridge investment gaps in digital infrastructure, and examine how regulatory simplification can accelerate the deployment of advanced connectivity technologies, reduce unnecessary barriers, and support continued digital growth.
The roundtable will further explore how European telecom policy can act as a catalyst for next- generation connectivity, ensuring that future networks are not only advanced and efficient but also secure and resilient against evolving threats.
This session will contribute to a collective vision for Europe’s digital future in the context of the Digital Networks Act.
