Dear partners,
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia, in close cooperation with distinguished producer Märt Meos and the highly respected theatre director Merle Karusoo,
is pleased to warmly invite you to attend the touching performance “I Didn’t Leave Ukraine”. We would be honored to welcome you on
10 February 2026, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at Vaba Lava Black Box, Salme Kultuurikeskus, Tallinn.
The production is presented by Theatre R.A.A.A.M. in collaboration with the Rivne Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre. The performance is in Ukrainian with Estonian and English subtitles.
Every day, news about the war in Ukraine reaches us through countless channels — social media, the press, and television. Far less often, however, do we have the opportunity to hear directly from those who have lived through this experience themselves.
In “I Didn’t Leave Ukraine”, renowned Estonian director Merle Karusoo brings Ukrainian veterans to the stage as they share personal reflections on their families, childhoods, and the reasons that led them to defend their country, while also highlighting their continued service to their communities and bearing witness to the truth about Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The performance was previously presented at the Freedom Festival in Narva in August 2025 and was attended by the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, together with his spouse, who later highlighted its powerful message in a public statement.
We would appreciate it if you could inform us by January 26, 2026, whether you will be able to attend the event. Please reply to [email protected]. If you have any questions regarding the invitation or your attendance, do not hesitate to contact us at the same email address.
Kindly note that admission to the performance is by ticket. Upon confirmation of your attendance, the tickets will be sent to your email addresses.
We would be pleased to welcome all those who wish to attend. Please confirm your attendance at your earliest convenience.
With warmest regards,
Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia
Sincerely,
Embassy of Ukraine
