Dear Colleagues,
We recently had the opportunity to conduct a demo session for Latvian institutions, including the National Health Service, the Latvian Digital Health Service, the Latvian Emergency Medical Service, and the Latvian Ministry of Health. This session was a great
chance to explore how these organizations can leverage health data and maximize its potential.
During the demo, we also presented health data infrastructures designed to empower data owners and holders to utilize AI and various business applications without vendor lock-in. The feedback was very positive, and the discussion highlighted the importance
of collaboration and innovation in this space.
We would love to organize a similar demo for Estonia, involving the Health and Welfare Information Systems Centre (TEHIK), the
Health Board (Terviseamet), the Estonian Health Insurance Fund (Tervisekassa), and representatives of the emergency medical services. The session would require approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes for an online conversation with all relevant stakeholders.
Our goal is to understand what is most relevant for Estonia and to share ideas on how to further enhance the use of health data — especially since many of the initiatives in Estonia are already considered world-class.
Please let us know if this would be possible, and suggest a convenient time for your teams.
Best regards,
Kaspars Grosu
