In order to sell electricity in Estonia, it is necessary to make an economic activity notification in the Economic Activity Register (MTR, https://mtr.ttja.ee/). The requirements can be found in the link below:

In short:

1. 1. Requirements to the submitter - the share capital of the electricity seller shall be at least 31,950 euros (It is necessary to attach a registry card or something else where we can see how much share capital the company has).

2. 2. Requirements for notice

A notice of economic activities shall contain at least the following information:

• * business name and registry code of the undertaking, in the absence thereof the relevant identification code of the country of its seat (the numerical or letter combination equal to the registration number);

• * contact details (telephone number, e-mail address and postal address) of the undertaking;

• * in the case of an undertaking of another Contracting State or a third country, the address of its seat if it differs from the postal address;

• * the date of commencement of economic activities in the relevant area of activity if it differs from the date of submission of the notice of economic activities;

• * the name and contact details (telephone number and e-mail) of the person signing the notice, in the case of a legal person also the basis for representation (member of the management board or authorization).

3. 3. Since a foreign company cannot enter the MTR, the application shall be made through the Competition Authority in free form by e-mail. For this, you have to pay 10 euros. The registration itself is termless and free of charge.

A state fee of 10 euros must be paid in advance to the bank account of the Ministry of Finance if a notice of economic activities is submitted by other means, using the reference number** 2900082935**.

4. 4. To register the application I need to add information about the person who signed the notice (birth details dd: mm: yyyy and country).

There are an option to fill a form(application) to become electricity seller, but there aren’t attached in that website. Could you share it with me?

Also, is there are any other steps for us to become an electricity seller? At this moment we’re working in Lithuania and Latvia energy markets.
