Dear partner,
We are contacting you on behalf of EurHeCA - the European Association of Health Authorities. The association aims at debating and comparing the activities of health authorities in Europe to ensure patient safety. At this stage, the association gathers more than 15 members representing the competent authorities of different health professions (pharmacists, dentists, nurses, physiotherapists, midwives, chiropodists, etc.).
The application and implementation of the provisions of the directive on the recognition of professional qualifications is at the heart of EurHeCA's activities, and one of the association's key roles is to provide European decision-makers with practical feedback from its members on the implementation of the tools set out in the directive. The ongoing consultations launched by the European Commission on the topic show the necessity of the building of these shared feedback amongst EurHeCA members.
The association is also a forum for exchanges between competent authorities on common concerns (disciplinary measures, recognition of diplomas, mobility of healthcare professionals). Our meetings also provide an opportunity to present key developments in healthcare policy at European level and to identify potential threats or opportunities for the professions represented within EurHeCA.
The annual fee for participating in the association’s activities is €500 and two general meetings are organized each year, traditionally in the spring and autumn. Members of the association also have the opportunity to take part in meetings with European decision-makers (European Commission, European Parliament, patient representatives) and in the drafting of EurHeCA position papers. You can find out more about our activities on the EurHeCAwebsite. The association is currently chaired by Pascale MATHIEU, President of the French National Council of the Order of Physiotherapists.
Our next general meeting will be organized online on the 23 of April and we would be happy to welcome you at this occasion.
You are very welcome to attend this meeting as an observer, in order to familiarise yourself with the type of work carried out within EurHeCA, the exchanges between competent authorities, and the topics addressed, before deciding whether you wish to formally apply for membership.
If you are interested to join EurHeCA, please send us an application signed by the president of your organisation.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or need a preliminary exchange to discuss our association’s activities.
Best regards,
|
