Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing on behalf of the UEF Law School, in connection with a research project commissioned by the Finnish Government. The project examines the use of interpreting and translation into foreign languages in criminal proceedings, including legal interpretations,
practical challenges, and development needs related to current regulations and practices.
For the purposes of this research, we would be grateful for aggregated annual data on the total costs incurred by the Estonian courts for interpreting and written translation in criminal proceedings. Specifically, we kindly request data:
If possible, we would also appreciate a breakdown between interpreting and written translation services. Should the data be publicly available, a reference or link to the relevant source would be most welcome.
Should this request fall within the competence of another authority or department, we would appreciate it if you could indicate the appropriate contact point.
