Partnership for Decent Work in Fisheries: High-Level Launch Event
(Brussels, 17 March 2026)
The International Labour Office presents its compliments to the governments of Member States of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and has the honour to invite their representatives to the High-Level Launch Event of the Partnership for Decent Work in Fisheries: Promoting the ratification and implementation of the ILO Work in Fishing Convention, 2007 (No. 188). This event will take place on Tuesday, 17 March, from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. at the Thon Hotel EU, in Brussels.
The European Commission is co-organizing this event with the ILO to promote cooperation among governments, social partners and international stakeholders around the Partnership for Decent Work in Fisheries. This global campaign is aimed at promoting a broader ratification of Convention No. 188, thus improving the living and working conditions of fishers and enhancing compliance with this instrument in the seafood sector.
Interpretation services will be provided in English, French and Spanish. Government representatives are invited to register their participation through this link. Any questions concerning this event may be addressed to [email protected]
The International Labour Office avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the governments of Member States of the ILO the assurances of its highest consideration.
