Dear Member States,
The IALA World-Wide Academy (WWA), in collaboration with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore MPA Academy (Singapore), is conducting a short survey to assess the current and future competency needs of Aids to Navigation (AtoN) Managers, as part of the review of the IALA Level 1.1 AtoN Manager Model Course.
We kindly invite Competent Authorities, AtoN service providers, AtoN managers, and relevant technical or operational staff to share their perspectives.
Your input will help ensure that the training programme remains aligned with evolving operational needs, digital developments, and modern AtoN management practices.
The survey takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete.

We would greatly appreciate receiving your response by 27 March 2026.
All responses will be treated confidentially and analysed in aggregated form for the purpose of improving IALA training programmes.
Thank you in advance for your valuable contribution to the continuous development of AtoN management competencies worldwide.
Kind regards,
IALA WWA, [email protected]
