3rd UN Virtual Worlds Day: AI, Spatial Intelligence, and the Citiverse: Shaping Trusted Digital Futures
(Geneva, Switzerland, 11-12 May 2026)
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), together with FAO, ITCILO, UNDP, UNECA, UNECE, UNECLAC, United Nations Guatemala, UN-Habitat, UNJSPF, UNICC, the UN Innovation Network, UNICEF, UN Tourism, UNRISD, UNU, the UN Futures Lab, WIPO, the World Bank and WMO, is pleased to invite you to the 3rd UN Virtual Worlds Day, hosted by ITU in Geneva on 11–12 May 2026.
How can governments test policies before implementing them in the real world?
The 3rd UN Virtual Worlds Day will explore how AI, spatial intelligence and the citiverse can help cities and governments anticipate risks, test policy options, and make better-informed decisions before acting in the physical world. The event will bring together ministers, ambassadors, mayors, UN leaders, industry pioneers and experts from around the world.
The event will be held in conjunction with the 2nd Citiverse Assembly (12 May 2026) and the meeting of ITU-T Study Group 20 on IoT, digital twins and smart sustainable cities and communities (12–21 May 2026).
Participation is free of charge and open to ITU members and stakeholders from countries that are members of ITU.
Further details, including the programme and registration, are available on the UN Virtual Worlds Day webpage and in TSB Circular 121.
