I am writing to you on behalf of the Association of Airlines (ALA). Our organization represents 72 national and international airlines operating in Spain, accounting for 85% of the country’s total air traffic.

I would like to formally request a clarification regarding the standard boarding procedures for flights departing from your country with a destination within the Schengen Area.

Specifically, we seek to confirm whether it is mandatory for passengers to present an official National ID card or Passport at the boarding gate, or if presenting a boarding pass is considered sufficient for aircraft access under your current national regulations.
