ad 1) Günter TRINKER welcomes the participants on behalf of the host. SCHIMPF welcomes the participants, especially the delegates attending for the first time and CTIF President DUBRAVAC.

ad 2) The agenda which had been sent out together with the invitation is approved. ad 3) There are no objections to the minutes of the 27th meeting of the Commission “History of Fire Services and CTIF, Museums and Documentation”, which was held in Athens/GR on 9th October 2024 in person and online. ad 4) Presentation of new commission members and delegates (Bulgaria, Ecuador, Latvia). ad 5) SCHIMPF reports on the recruitment of new members and its regular mailings. The next opportunity to meet the delegates of the CTIF member countries will be the DA in June 2026 in Hannover/D during the Interschutz. DUBRAVAC is talking about new members of CTIF, he mentiones the delegates assemblies in Sofia/BG 2025 and in Hannover/D 2026. Furthermore he reports of the foundation of the European Fire Service Association in May 2025 wherein CTIF also is involved. ad 6a) FASTL reports:

• Meeting 2025: 116 participants, 25 partners, total 141 persons. The administration war very challenging and this years’ experience will lead to some changes in future.

• Conference volume: The realisation of this year's conference volume was also challenging. 61 authors, 48 articles and 4 obituaries from 14 nations resulted in 438 pages. Like last year two editorial teams headed by him and KLAEDKTE have proved their worth. The realisation of the layout by ÖBFV Medien GmbH was again problem-free, as was the printing and dispatch delivery by the reliable Hungarian printing company. 200 copies came to € 10,715. So, this year's production won’t be in deficit like last year, but it is seen that we have to sell at least around 180 copies. The volume of the conference proceedings must not increase again, if that happens, we will have to consider limiting the number of authors. The realisation of the 2026 conference proceedings is planned in the same way.

• Presentations on Thursday: It is requested that the specified speaking time of 20 minutes be adhered to.

• Changes for upcoming meetings which were decided by the management board of the Study Group (SG):

o the conditions of participating will be handled more strictly (like it is written in the regulations)

▪ participation solely out of collectors' interests or purely personal motives is not desired

▪ The admission of new contributors is exclusively based on the proposal of the respective national delegate to the History Commission, which is submitted to the chairperson of the SG.

▪ New members have to contribute at least one paper to the conference proceedings in the first four years. If this is not done, participation in the conference will only be possible again after

an essay has been written. This does not apply to members of the History Commission who attend the conferences as official delegates from a national committee.

o From 2026 on: max. 100 participations + 20 partners = totally max. 120 ▪ Ranking according to regulations ▪ 2026: no new members

o Registration process from 2026: ▪ online-tool will be used ▪ ranking according to regulations by the management board ▪ confirmation of participation (or cancellation) ▪ payment of the costs to host ▪ booking of the rooms in the conference hotel by the

participations on their selves o Conference proceedings and administration fee:

▪ order within the registration process ▪ normal price (€ 60 book, € 5 stick) ▪ increased price for late payment (€ 70 book, € 5 stick)

o Administration fee: ▪ normal € 25 ▪ increased for late payment: € 30 ▪ separate accommodation may incur a higher (double)

administration fee in future – depending on the host!

• Homepage of the SG: This point is still unresolved, a realisation via the CTIF homepage is planned in principle and has already been discussed, but has so far failed due to time resources.

ad 6b) In accordance with the regulations adopted in 2023, two members of the commission must audit the SG’s cash register annually. The commission appoints FAJFAR and CASANO for this purpose. They will audit the cash register before tomorrow's meeting of the SG. In the meantime, Simone VALENTINI has also been able to transfer the remaining € 2,000 from the old account to us. ad 6c) The next meeting venues are:

• 2026, Mysłowice/PL – GĄSIORCZYK reports about the current status

• 2027, Vienna (AT) – SCHIMPF reports on the intention to hold the conference in Vienna

• 2028, Colonge (D) – KLAEDTKE reports that an official application already was sent to the CTIF

ad 6d)

• 2026: ‘Diversity & inclusion in the fire service - women & marginalised groups’

• 2027: ‘Organisation and legal basis of fire protection and firefighting (firefighting regulations, legal provisions, statutes)’

• 2028: ‘Fire protection before the fire brigades’ One new topic for 2029 should be fixed in next year’s commission meeting.

ad 6e) Fastl was appointed as chairperson 2023 for two years. He would take on the position for another four-year term. The Commission agrees. Fastl expresses his gratitude for the trust placed in him and announces that the management board will remain unchanged and that KLAEDTKE will act as deputy chairperson like the last two years. ad 7) SCHIMPF reports: One fire service collection has been certified:

• Fire service collection Horn, Lower Austria (A) – 11/2025

• Fire service museum Berlin, Germany

• 13 Fire service museums and collections in Portugal The number of jury members available is currently very low and should be increased. Because of his new job in Viennese fire service museum FASTL could be a jury member too I future. Lists of certified museums: Certified Museums & Collections | CTIF - International Association of Fire Services for Safer Citizens through Skilled Firefighters ad 8) SCHIMPF talks about the current situation surrounding vehicle classification and the challenges with that. KLAEDTKE presents a possible new process for the future (see enclosure). Commission discusses the possibilities and agrees on a platform for old fire service vehicles on CTIF homepage. For that is a form necessary. KLAEDTKE will lead the working group, FAES will join him. Other co-workers will be search outside the commission. ad 9) FASTL reports: The production of the CTIF decorations was given to the Slovenian company Skutnik. The commission checked again adopted samples twice in 2025. The Commission has also drafted an application form for the awards and has offered to support the application process. ad 10) SCHIMPF reports on the project. The book project was not realised, also not the planed brochure. History commission provided a plan for the content and also an offer for the producing costs. ad 11) Commission decides on new name:

• History Commission (German: “Geschichtekommission”).

ad 12) The participating delegations report about activities in their countries:

• AT: FASTL reports about current topics and projects related to fire service history in Austria. He mentions the activities in Vorarlberg concerning the 150th anniversary of the fire service association of Vorarlberg, furthermore he mentions the exhibition in the fire service museum of Styria in Groß St. Florian and the new personal situation in Viennese fire service museum where he took over the leading position in June 2025.

• BE: FAES holds a presentation on the current projects in the museum in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium, especially on the year 1967 (see enclosure). CASSANO reports about her current work in Brussels.

• BG: DAMYANOV reports on the situation and activities in Bulgaria.

• CZ: KRIPÁLKOVÁ reports on the current work in Přibyslav (exhibitions, events). An international CTIF library is being created in cooperation with the CTIF statistics working group. See enclosure.

• DE: KLAEDTKE reports (see enclosure). LÖWE holds a presentation on the activities of Section 11 of the German Fire Protection Association (vfdb) within the last year (see enclosure).

• EC: CHÁVEZ PROCEL and QUEZADA GOMEZ report on the museum in Guayaquil.

• EST: PAULUS reports on the activities of the Estonian Fire Service Museum in Tallinn since the last meeting in Athens.

• FRA: SCHMAUCH reports on the new activities of the French Historical

Commission (see enclosure).

• GR: KOUTRI reports on the firefighting museum in Athens as well as current exhibitions and projects.

• HR: RUNJIĆ reports on the activities in Croatia (see enclosure).

• HU: SZILCSANOV holds a presentation on the activities in Hungary (see enclosure).

• LT: VITOLINS reports on the museum in Riga, which he runs.

• NL: VAN HAASTEREN holds a presentation on the activities in the Netherlands (see enclosure).

• PT: MARTINS holds a presentation on the situation in Portugal. 13 museums applied for a certification by the CTIF (see enclosure and video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXVjrZ90Jik).

• PL: GĄSIORCZYK holds a presentation on the activities in Poland (see enclosure).

• SK: POVAŽAN reports on the situation in Slovakia, there are just 3 members in the commission. Projects: list of old fire engines in SK, digitalization of documents and pictures, information paper for finding important documents in public archives, bibliography. For the first time they organised a conference on firefighting history.

• SLO: FAJFAR reports on the current situation in SLO. He mentions that the museum in Metlika lost with Petra PLANINC the manager because she stopped working there and that the history commission meets three times a year. Mostly they have to talk about founding dates of fire brigades.

ad 13) a) FASTL ask those countries presenting decorations during the opening

ceremony to announce this in advance.

Die Geschichte und die französische Feuerwehrverband

Die Geschichtskommission des französischen Feuerwehrverbandes

Sie hat einen neuen stellvertretenden Präsidenten. Michel-Ange Santamaria

Er ist Oberstleutnant in einer freiwilligen Feuerwehr.

Die Geschichtskommission des französischen Feuerwehrverbandes

Es gibt 12 regionale Feuerwehrverbände, 12 Mitglieder in der Geschichtskommission

und einige technische Berater, die nicht immer Feuerwehrleute sind.

Es gibt auch Mitglieder für Guadeloupe, Martinique, Französisch-Guayana, Réunion und Mayotte.

Mehrere Jahre lang blieb diese Geschichtskommission sehr ruhig,

weil sie kein wirkliches Programm hatte!

Michel-Ange Santamaria hat drei Hauptziele festgelegt :

❖ Museen bekannt machen

❖ Schreiben, schreiben und schreiben

Mehrere Jahre lang blieb diese Geschichtskommission sehr ruhig,

weil sie kein wirkliches Programm hatte!

Seit etwa zwanzig Jahren befanden sich die Archive (Bücher, Zeitungen, Bilder…) in Kartons und in einem Lagerhaus.

Jetzt sind sie in den Gebäuden der Feuerwehrverband in Paris untergebracht.

Zusammen mit vier anderen Kollegen haben wir begonnen, sie zu sortieren. Das ist eine sehr schwierige Arbeit, die mehrere Monate dauern wird!

Etwa 2.000 Bücher und Tausende von Zeitschriften aus Frankreich, Deutschland, den Niederlanden, der Schweiz, Tschechien, England...

Report on studying end preserving Croatian firefighting history in 2024. and 2025.

Museum of Croatian Firefighting

2024 (October – December)

In 2024, the Museum of Croatian Firefighting was visited by 3111 visitors, which is increase in

numbers, compared period from 2021 to 2023. More than 7,400 people visited virtual walk trough

the museum.

Along with the permanent exhibition, visitors could see the exhibition on 160th anniversary of

Varaždin voluntary fire department.

From 21st till 27th of October Museum held exhibition about EU project SILVANUS in a large

firefighter meeting that was held in Firefighting training center in Vučevica near Split. Also the lecture

on our work was held during this event.

The 3rd meeting of firefighting heritage collectors was held at the ZORA Cultural Center in Opatija on

November 16th 2024. The meeting was organized by the Croatian Society for the Preservation of

Firefighting Heritage in cooperation with the Opatija Voluntary Firefighting Department, the Croatian

Firefighting Association and the Museum.

In November we received visit from our friends Mr Berki and Mr Szilcsanov from Hungarian

Firefigting museum. This is a direct continuation of the collaboration that begun through our CTIF

History Commission.

In December 2024, first motor vehicle for Museum was fully restored (IMV firefighting van).

2025 (January – October)

In 2025, from January till October the Museum of Croatian Firefighting was visited by 3281 visitors.

Exhibitions

On the Museum Night event, we opened exhibition “Varaždin – top of firefighting world” about 20th

anniversary of 13th International firefighting competition and 15th International firefighting youth

competition that were organized by CTIF in Varaždin. The story of the competitions was presented

through awards, photographs, equipment, souvenirs and information posters. We are proud that

Slovenian colleagues directly participated in the exhibition. Before the exhibition, a lecture about the

competition was held, as well as a presentation of a book about the Museum. Also the text about

this event was published on CTIF pages.

One of the cartoons by Damir Novak that was represented in exhibition about CTIF competition in

Varaždin

The exhibition "Cartoons Against Fire" by Damir Novak was opened in the gallery of the Karlovac

Student Center on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

The 4th meeting of collectors of firefighting heritage was held at the Donja Voća fire station on

Saturday, April 12th 2025.

Work in the Museum

In cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, 3 students of

Information Sciences did an internship in the Museum and the Croatian Firefighting Association,

where they worked on photos, documents and other objects.

In May 2025, our technician and head of the museum have passed the state exam for museum

technician and curator.

Future plans

Until the end of the year, we plan to continue with processing of museum objects, photographs and

other documents. We have received scaned issues of Vatrogasni vjesnik from 1918 till 1945, in

cooperation with Stjepan Kovaček, and we plan to put them online. Also, large number of groups will

visit Museum.

Till the end of this year, we plan to open exhibition about 30 years of Croatian youth firefighters

camp, that is currently situated in Fažana (Istria).

5th meeting of collectors of firefighting heritage will be held on 8th November 2025 in Osijek. This is

an opportunity to invite all interested collectors to this event.

In next year we plan exhibitions about 150th anniversary of Croatian firefighting association and

exhibition about great Varaždin fire (250th anniversary).

ad 1) Günter TRINKER welcomes the participants on behalf of the host. SCHIMPF welcomes the participants, especially the delegates attending for the first time and CTIF President DUBRAVAC.

ad 2) The agenda which had been sent out together with the invitation is approved. ad 3) There are no objections to the minutes of the 27th meeting of the Commission “History of Fire Services and CTIF, Museums and Documentation”, which was held in Athens/GR on 9th October 2024 in person and online. ad 4) Presentation of new commission members and delegates (Bulgaria, Ecuador, Latvia). ad 5) SCHIMPF reports on the recruitment of new members and its regular mailings. The next opportunity to meet the delegates of the CTIF member countries will be the DA in June 2026 in Hannover/D during the Interschutz. DUBRAVAC is talking about new members of CTIF, he mentiones the delegates assemblies in Sofia/BG 2025 and in Hannover/D 2026. Furthermore he reports of the foundation of the European Fire Service Association in May 2025 wherein CTIF also is involved. ad 6a) FASTL reports:

• Meeting 2025: 116 participants, 25 partners, total 141 persons. The administration war very challenging and this years’ experience will lead to some changes in future.

• Conference volume: The realisation of this year's conference volume was also challenging. 61 authors, 48 articles and 4 obituaries from 14 nations resulted in 438 pages. Like last year two editorial teams headed by him and KLAEDKTE have proved their worth. The realisation of the layout by ÖBFV Medien GmbH was again problem-free, as was the printing and dispatch delivery by the reliable Hungarian printing company. 200 copies came to € 10,715. So, this year's production won’t be in deficit like last year, but it is seen that we have to sell at least around 180 copies. The volume of the conference proceedings must not increase again, if that happens, we will have to consider limiting the number of authors. The realisation of the 2026 conference proceedings is planned in the same way.

• Presentations on Thursday: It is requested that the specified speaking time of 20 minutes be adhered to.

• Changes for upcoming meetings which were decided by the management board of the Study Group (SG):

o the conditions of participating will be handled more strictly (like it is written in the regulations)

▪ participation solely out of collectors' interests or purely personal motives is not desired

▪ The admission of new contributors is exclusively based on the proposal of the respective national delegate to the History Commission, which is submitted to the chairperson of the SG.

▪ New members have to contribute at least one paper to the conference proceedings in the first four years. If this is not done, participation in the conference will only be possible again after

an essay has been written. This does not apply to members of the History Commission who attend the conferences as official delegates from a national committee.

o From 2026 on: max. 100 participations + 20 partners = totally max. 120 ▪ Ranking according to regulations ▪ 2026: no new members

o Registration process from 2026: ▪ online-tool will be used ▪ ranking according to regulations by the management board ▪ confirmation of participation (or cancellation) ▪ payment of the costs to host ▪ booking of the rooms in the conference hotel by the

participations on their selves o Conference proceedings and administration fee:

▪ order within the registration process ▪ normal price (€ 60 book, € 5 stick) ▪ increased price for late payment (€ 70 book, € 5 stick)

o Administration fee: ▪ normal € 25 ▪ increased for late payment: € 30 ▪ separate accommodation may incur a higher (double)

administration fee in future – depending on the host!

• Homepage of the SG: This point is still unresolved, a realisation via the CTIF homepage is planned in principle and has already been discussed, but has so far failed due to time resources.

ad 6b) In accordance with the regulations adopted in 2023, two members of the commission must audit the SG’s cash register annually. The commission appoints FAJFAR and CASANO for this purpose. They will audit the cash register before tomorrow's meeting of the SG. In the meantime, Simone VALENTINI has also been able to transfer the remaining € 2,000 from the old account to us. ad 6c) The next meeting venues are:

• 2026, Mysłowice/PL – GĄSIORCZYK reports about the current status

• 2027, Vienna (AT) – SCHIMPF reports on the intention to hold the conference in Vienna

• 2028, Colonge (D) – KLAEDTKE reports that an official application already was sent to the CTIF

ad 6d)

• 2026: ‘Diversity & inclusion in the fire service - women & marginalised groups’

• 2027: ‘Organisation and legal basis of fire protection and firefighting (firefighting regulations, legal provisions, statutes)’

• 2028: ‘Fire protection before the fire brigades’ One new topic for 2029 should be fixed in next year’s commission meeting.

ad 6e) Fastl was appointed as chairperson 2023 for two years. He would take on the position for another four-year term. The Commission agrees. Fastl expresses his gratitude for the trust placed in him and announces that the management board will remain unchanged and that KLAEDTKE will act as deputy chairperson like the last two years. ad 7) SCHIMPF reports: One fire service collection has been certified:

• Faistenau, Salzburg (A) Possible next certifications:

• Fire service collection Horn, Lower Austria (A) – 11/2025

• Fire service museum Berlin, Germany

• 13 Fire service museums and collections in Portugal The number of jury members available is currently very low and should be increased. Because of his new job in Viennese fire service museum FASTL could be a jury member too I future. Lists of certified museums: Certified Museums & Collections | CTIF - International Association of Fire Services for Safer Citizens through Skilled Firefighters ad 8) SCHIMPF talks about the current situation surrounding vehicle classification and the challenges with that. KLAEDTKE presents a possible new process for the future (see enclosure). Commission discusses the possibilities and agrees on a platform for old fire service vehicles on CTIF homepage. For that is a form necessary. KLAEDTKE will lead the working group, FAES will join him. Other co-workers will be search outside the commission. ad 9) FASTL reports: The production of the CTIF decorations was given to the Slovenian company Skutnik. The commission checked again adopted samples twice in 2025. The Commission has also drafted an application form for the awards and has offered to support the application process. ad 10) SCHIMPF reports on the project. The book project was not realised, also not the planed brochure. History commission provided a plan for the content and also an offer for the producing costs. ad 11) Commission decides on new name:

• History Commission (German: “Geschichtekommission”).

ad 12) The participating delegations report about activities in their countries:

• AT: FASTL reports about current topics and projects related to fire service history in Austria. He mentions the activities in Vorarlberg concerning the 150th anniversary of the fire service association of Vorarlberg, furthermore he mentions the exhibition in the fire service museum of Styria in Groß St. Florian and the new personal situation in Viennese fire service museum where he took over the leading position in June 2025.

• BE: FAES holds a presentation on the current projects in the museum in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium, especially on the year 1967 (see enclosure). CASSANO reports about her current work in Brussels.

• BG: DAMYANOV reports on the situation and activities in Bulgaria.

• CZ: KRIPÁLKOVÁ reports on the current work in Přibyslav (exhibitions, events). An international CTIF library is being created in cooperation with the CTIF statistics working group. See enclosure.

• DE: KLAEDTKE reports (see enclosure). LÖWE holds a presentation on the activities of Section 11 of the German Fire Protection Association (vfdb) within the last year (see enclosure).

• EC: CHÁVEZ PROCEL and QUEZADA GOMEZ report on the museum in Guayaquil.

• EST: PAULUS reports on the activities of the Estonian Fire Service Museum in Tallinn since the last meeting in Athens.

• FRA: SCHMAUCH reports on the new activities of the French Historical

Commission (see enclosure).

• GR: KOUTRI reports on the firefighting museum in Athens as well as current exhibitions and projects.

• HR: RUNJIĆ reports on the activities in Croatia (see enclosure).

• HU: SZILCSANOV holds a presentation on the activities in Hungary (see enclosure).

• LT: VITOLINS reports on the museum in Riga, which he runs.

• NL: VAN HAASTEREN holds a presentation on the activities in the Netherlands (see enclosure).

• PT: MARTINS holds a presentation on the situation in Portugal. 13 museums applied for a certification by the CTIF (see enclosure and video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXVjrZ90Jik).

• PL: GĄSIORCZYK holds a presentation on the activities in Poland (see enclosure).

• SK: POVAŽAN reports on the situation in Slovakia, there are just 3 members in the commission. Projects: list of old fire engines in SK, digitalization of documents and pictures, information paper for finding important documents in public archives, bibliography. For the first time they organised a conference on firefighting history.

• SLO: FAJFAR reports on the current situation in SLO. He mentions that the museum in Metlika lost with Petra PLANINC the manager because she stopped working there and that the history commission meets three times a year. Mostly they have to talk about founding dates of fire brigades.

ad 13) a) FASTL ask those countries presenting decorations during the opening

ceremony to announce this in advance.

Die Geschichte und die französische Feuerwehrverband

Die Geschichtskommission des französischen Feuerwehrverbandes

Sie hat einen neuen stellvertretenden Präsidenten. Michel-Ange Santamaria

Er ist Oberstleutnant in einer freiwilligen Feuerwehr.

Die Geschichtskommission des französischen Feuerwehrverbandes

Es gibt 12 regionale Feuerwehrverbände, 12 Mitglieder in der Geschichtskommission

und einige technische Berater, die nicht immer Feuerwehrleute sind.

Es gibt auch Mitglieder für Guadeloupe, Martinique, Französisch-Guayana, Réunion und Mayotte.

Mehrere Jahre lang blieb diese Geschichtskommission sehr ruhig,

weil sie kein wirkliches Programm hatte!

Michel-Ange Santamaria hat drei Hauptziele festgelegt :

❖ Museen bekannt machen

❖ Schreiben, schreiben und schreiben

Mehrere Jahre lang blieb diese Geschichtskommission sehr ruhig,

weil sie kein wirkliches Programm hatte!

Seit etwa zwanzig Jahren befanden sich die Archive (Bücher, Zeitungen, Bilder…) in Kartons und in einem Lagerhaus.

Jetzt sind sie in den Gebäuden der Feuerwehrverband in Paris untergebracht.

Zusammen mit vier anderen Kollegen haben wir begonnen, sie zu sortieren. Das ist eine sehr schwierige Arbeit, die mehrere Monate dauern wird!

Etwa 2.000 Bücher und Tausende von Zeitschriften aus Frankreich, Deutschland, den Niederlanden, der Schweiz, Tschechien, England...

Report on studying end preserving Croatian firefighting history in 2024. and 2025.

Museum of Croatian Firefighting

2024 (October – December)

In 2024, the Museum of Croatian Firefighting was visited by 3111 visitors, which is increase in

numbers, compared period from 2021 to 2023. More than 7,400 people visited virtual walk trough

the museum.

Along with the permanent exhibition, visitors could see the exhibition on 160th anniversary of

Varaždin voluntary fire department.

From 21st till 27th of October Museum held exhibition about EU project SILVANUS in a large

firefighter meeting that was held in Firefighting training center in Vučevica near Split. Also the lecture

on our work was held during this event.

The 3rd meeting of firefighting heritage collectors was held at the ZORA Cultural Center in Opatija on

November 16th 2024. The meeting was organized by the Croatian Society for the Preservation of

Firefighting Heritage in cooperation with the Opatija Voluntary Firefighting Department, the Croatian

Firefighting Association and the Museum.

In November we received visit from our friends Mr Berki and Mr Szilcsanov from Hungarian

Firefigting museum. This is a direct continuation of the collaboration that begun through our CTIF

History Commission.

In December 2024, first motor vehicle for Museum was fully restored (IMV firefighting van).

2025 (January – October)

In 2025, from January till October the Museum of Croatian Firefighting was visited by 3281 visitors.

Exhibitions

On the Museum Night event, we opened exhibition “Varaždin – top of firefighting world” about 20th

anniversary of 13th International firefighting competition and 15th International firefighting youth

competition that were organized by CTIF in Varaždin. The story of the competitions was presented

through awards, photographs, equipment, souvenirs and information posters. We are proud that

Slovenian colleagues directly participated in the exhibition. Before the exhibition, a lecture about the

competition was held, as well as a presentation of a book about the Museum. Also the text about

this event was published on CTIF pages.

One of the cartoons by Damir Novak that was represented in exhibition about CTIF competition in

Varaždin

The exhibition "Cartoons Against Fire" by Damir Novak was opened in the gallery of the Karlovac

Student Center on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

The 4th meeting of collectors of firefighting heritage was held at the Donja Voća fire station on

Saturday, April 12th 2025.

Work in the Museum

In cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, 3 students of

Information Sciences did an internship in the Museum and the Croatian Firefighting Association,

where they worked on photos, documents and other objects.

In May 2025, our technician and head of the museum have passed the state exam for museum

technician and curator.

Future plans

Until the end of the year, we plan to continue with processing of museum objects, photographs and

other documents. We have received scaned issues of Vatrogasni vjesnik from 1918 till 1945, in

cooperation with Stjepan Kovaček, and we plan to put them online. Also, large number of groups will

visit Museum.

Till the end of this year, we plan to open exhibition about 30 years of Croatian youth firefighters

camp, that is currently situated in Fažana (Istria).

5th meeting of collectors of firefighting heritage will be held on 8th November 2025 in Osijek. This is

an opportunity to invite all interested collectors to this event.

In next year we plan exhibitions about 150th anniversary of Croatian firefighting association and

exhibition about great Varaždin fire (250th anniversary).
