As an administrator in the field of audit, your tasks may include:
- Contributing to strategic and annual audit planning, including identifying and prioritising audit topics based on risk analysis and organisational objectives.
- Executing internal and external audits, covering compliance, performance (value for money), and financial aspects.
- Carrying out IT systems audits.
- Assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of the auditee’s financial management, governance, risk management, and internal control systems.
- Drafting and presenting audit reports, opinions, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Leading and coordinating audit assignments, including task allocation, supervision of team members, performance assessment, and monitoring of time budgets and work quality.
- Developing and improving audit methodologies, tools, and knowledge management.
- Participating in quality assurance and peer review activities in line with international professional audit standards.

EPSO launches AD7 Audit competition
Today, the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) launched the AD7 competition in the field of audit, to draw up a reserve list from which EU institutions, bodies, and agencies can recruit new administrators) for the EU civil service. This is a specialised competition, aimed at experienced audit professionals.
The competition is open to EU nationals holding a university degree, with 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, including at least four years in audit, and knowledge of two official EU languages. Successful candidates may be recruited as administrators at grade AD7, and will:
• Contribute to strategic and annual audit planning
• Conduct internal and external audits, including IT systems audits
• Assess governance, financial management, and risk controls
• Draft audit reports for EU institutions and agencies.
The application period closes on 19 May 2026 at 12.00 (midday), Brussels time.
