Ministerial Conference on Public Administration

Dear Ms. De Sutter

Let me first sincerely thank you for your letter from 2nd of February 2024.

1 fully acknowledge the importance of the Ministerial Conference on Public Administration. In these times of rapid change, the development of public administration and sharing experience between member states are certainly very relevant.

My February schedule is, unfortunately, very tight whereas meetings organized by the current Presidency of the Council brings me to Beigium on several occasions. For instance, the meeting of finance ministers takes place in Ghent just a few days before the Ministerial Conference on Public Administration.

I’d also clarify that the head of our delegation will be the deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Finance, responsible for public administration and public service policies. Being involved in policy development and impiementation daily, he is certainly the right person to substantively contribute to this important conference.
